Luft uses #538/539 to give strong reads on Erika and YBW [which I mostly agree with, although that YBW hammer was more self-preservation I think. I agree with Luft’s #541 that ending the day early also made no sense, though].
Unrelated, but #545 made me realize how wagon-happy YBW is… I feel like town would be more naturally skeptical than that.
Martin responds to Luft in #593, noting that he only commented on Luft’s entrance because it pinged him the most, trying to “look town” usually requires actual content, and says that Luft isn’t pushing anyone aside from me/GG [which was true D1, but not true to that point D2. Martin was probably just catching up, though (Spak to the Future confirming the Martin’s info catches up gradually, so he likely wasn’t read up).]
Both instantly support Sam’s claim, then back off and ask why Phone’s scum after Sam retracts the claim [I’m gonna develop trust issues with how many times Sam claimed/unclaimed Spec lol]. Martin also mentions that Sam should’ve waited to hear Phone’s response before cleaning up the “gambit” [which I thought was a really solid point]
Luft points out that he’s had reads since start of D2 after missing EoD1, Martin says those don’t count because he’s looking at the D1 interpretation of Luft’s slot [it seems like a desperate reasoning to continue a tunnel; I don’t see a lot of justification for this argument beyond not being quite read up yet].
Luft switches over to Erika in #620[I like this vote swap considering the info of that point; a vote on Erika does more to pressure her than keeping the vote on Martin]. Martin then votes me in #629 after Luft takes his vote off [still not sure where it comes from, but it stays until EoD iirc lol]
In #653, Luft brings up… uh… shoot, I’m outta time
VOTE: YouButWorse
I’ll continue this, but it’s going more slowly since I’ve been at this for hours lol. No assurance it’ll be done by deadline. Hopefully I got enough down to show people where my head’s at right now in case I get axed lol.
At that point I was still evaluating his responses to me. I was clarifying that my arguments to him were based on D1, and therefore his claim that I was “ignoring” his D2 activity, content, and reads were false and in other words could not have been part of my consideration in D1.
And I have justified my reasons for scum-reading his entrance. It just so happens that you disagree with it or don’t value some things as I do or I don’t value some things that you do (I can’t really tell which is the case here).
There is no pressure since they aren’t dying that day.
It was fairly obvious phone was going to be the execution. At the point I would’ve wanted to change my vote Golden already double-down’ed and claimed Phone was killer. So, there was no real value to me moving my vote or unvoting or anything.
I kinda feel bad about going against Golden’s reads, but she did screw us about Erika, and YBW has an incentive there to nuke the Specialist who had left a TR of their slot (to potentially have that locked in and never evaluated again).
At least you could’ve afforded the decency to offer up why you think I’m more likely to be killer than Luft (per your earlier speculation about 1 of us being killer, and that you were going to re-read). Spak hadn’t decided yet.
All you got is a “Gut” read, based off a conclusion that killers here rush to vote right away.
Spak looks very towny, his in-depth analyses of all slots (even Andres) are high-effort scumhunting that results in complete reads. His sudden burst of highly concentrated and “refined” activity appearing now screams town: he wants to find all scum right now because we’re at LYLO, and it seems obvious he feels pressure to be right. A killer wouldn’t have that attitude, since he can win even if we [misexecute? So ugly…].
@Spak, “Saying what you’d do as Specialist would put the real Specialist in a small PoE for the killer based on the fact that he knows his own role was first in the list.” meant that if everyone claimed what order they’d pick for the killers if they were Specialist, the killer who got his kill through would have a very small PoE of people who would have selected his role to go first. He’d know not through feedback, but through the fact his kill went through (I assume every killer just sends an action every night and hopes it goes through, not sure but that’s the only way I see). That’d make the Specialist too easy to find, and that was my point in the post that confused you: Specialist should remain hidden and breadcrumb his actions. That didn’t happen at all, though.
Oh and I think I had my vote on Spak, and now I think he’s actually my top townread, so… VOTE: Unvote
I don’t want to accidentally hammer, but my vote in on YBW in spirit.
To make sure it’s clear why my townread on Spak for his recent interventions is different and stronger from my original townread on Andres:
Andres has been consistently solvy throughout the game. However, since killers are uninformed minorities in this game, this is actually not highly AI. On the other hand, Spak has greatly increased his contribution level recently when town is threatened because he feels the need to get things done now to avoid losing. This is only logical from a town PoV, or from a killer who predicted someone would have the exact reasoning I’m having. Since the last possibility is quite unlikely, Spak is very probably town. As for Andres… there’s actually nothing barring him from being a killer who gathered towncred all game by hunting other killers. Note that there’s nothing barring Martin from that either, though.
This setup is extremely strange. It’s not just nonstandard, it’s almost non-Mafia lol.
Okay, so it looks like K3 is down so we’re still in it. Was hoping that Andres wouldn’t be NK’d so I wouldn’t have to figure out which of you is the killer, though… Watching a Smash tourney being streamed from my old university right now, but I’ll be back to finish my ISOs & interact with folks after dinner.
