I’m not sure what it is about them that feels fake but it’s something

arete this feels a bit like “ici is a wolf because i’ve seen into his soul and he has that three wolf shirt from amazon that has all those funny reviews which is being worn by his dream self mindghost”

So this is how Ici responds to my push on him. I’m going to somewhat flippantly describe the tone of these posts as “aww, isn’t that cute, Arete has a scumread on me,” which at least from Ici is wolfy for a couple reasons:

• It’s kind of TMIish. I’m mostly going to ignore this one, since lolMasons.
• More importantly, he’s dismissing my actual arguments in favor of trying to make me feel like I’m being silly. To be fair, I wasn’t explaining my reasons super well, but rather than pointing any of that out, he’s going for trying to make me feel like I’m being silly to get me to not push him.
• It’s in-wolfmeta for him. It’s comparable to things he’s done in response to pressure from me in previous wolfgames of his, and not to pressure on him in towngames (where his response tends to be “this push doesn’t make sense for reasons X and Y, also screw you” rather than … the thing he’s doing). Examples:
  Marson (scum):

I’m not proposing lynching Jake directly, if you’ll notice I’m musing the possibility while implying that lynching me is an awful idea

LSotV (SK):

and thus you immediately jumped to me as one of the experienced players left in the game, which is why you accused me with pretty flimsy evidence because you’ve subconciously backed yourself up

Litten, I know the meta of this site. Absolutely no major defense I give here could actually convince you to stop pushing me, because whatever I’m going to do neccecarily fits into your perception of what I’d do right now. You won’t read my defense. You’ll read the “blatant shadethrowing” in it when I inevitably try to shift things onto a wolf. You won’t read this post for what it is, you’ll read my lack of WiM as wolfy.

That’s why I’m just going to sit back until you all feel embarrassed and vote somebody else.

I have no experience with closed games but from a game design standpoint I dont understand how loaded this game can be. People claimed not to know their alignment in the start.

I agree that being dismissive in that way is usually >rand!scum, but I can also sorta turn your argument against you in that it’s tonally completely different from all of the scumgame quotes that you shared!

The closest one is Danganronpa, and that’s still a different sort of joking attitude! It doesn’t match his town attitude either, but neither one really has the same sort of joking! (And they are definitely cherry-picked quotes!) Are you going to try to say that it’s impossible to find an Icibalus game where they joke around as Town?!

TL;DR: I wouldn’t intrinsically label his posts here as scummy if you two know each other and have a rapport!

what would you have expected him to say instead. Something like “your concerns are valid and I appreciate you, please tell me where I look fake?” because I doubt he’s the guy that does that. Or did you simply think he’d be more angry and reactionary (kinda like how Zone was).

I can see where you’re coming from though. He at this point, ought to state his piece in anycase.
