Lol, I’m not actually saying that’s the setup—I’m putting it out there as a counterexample of what could be the setup. Partially to show that’s it’s stupid to make decisions on who is scum based on tea leaf reading.

Why propose a counterexample when the likelihood of it being true is spectacularly low? You are trying to dismiss a likely scenario by arguing that other unlikely scenarios are possible, and that any speculation is silly. But your underlying vote is based on the fact that you believe that Cats is lying, which requires a discussion of the setup. You are trying to have it both ways.

So, we have the following setup proposed:
Town -> doctor, jailkeeper, tracker, innocent child
Scum -> strongman, 2 or 3 members
Sk -> oneshot bulletproof
I kind of agree with whoever said that an unlimited strongman would be unlikely in this setup. I also don’t agree that a oneshot vig is terribly likely, I’m not sure why they would have shot ffery over one of the 6 lurkers.
The only thing I’m hung up on is why they would choose to burn a oneshot strongman on n1. It doesn’t make much sense to me, unless they knew ffery’s role somehow. It’s true that the scum knew there was an sk; I wonder how much they knew.
If there is a oneshot strongman, it’s likely that catspurr is scum and that there are 3 scum. If there is an unlimited strongman, it’s likely that catspurr is town. Unfortunately this doesn’t help us much.
I’m tempted to just vote for one of Erika or Elli. Not sure yet tho. I’m stuck on mobile for a bit too so I won’t be doing a huge reread.
Something I found a bit sketchy, thinking back, was that catspurr claimed Jailkeeper out of the blue, not even 10 posts after we were talking about the Tracker reveal. It’s possible that Elli was tracked by impulse on n1 (hence impulse’s vote early d2 on Elli), and that cats claimed a jail on Elli to cover his ass. What do people think?

You are not even trying to explain why you believe this. All you keep insinuating is that Cats is lying. I’m still waiting on you to provide your reasoning as to why you are suspicious about the timing of Cats’ claim.
@Urist, okay so perhaps this is possible. So are you claiming that Cats and Elli are working together? Can you provide some more “proof” of this? I’ll look myself, but I can anticipate that Cats’ erratic voting pattern will tend to hide some of this away. You are right though that Cats’ crumbed that Elli had been jailed (#372) after Impulse voted for Elli in #362. Impulse stated though that they were annoyed at Elli for not doing anything, and then proceeded to switch their vote over in #410 to Mylo. If Impulse had properly tracked Elli (and especially that early), you don’t think we would have heard more loudly about it? I know I would have made a bigger stink overall.
I mean…shouldn’t be that hard to find why if you glance through my iso. Like, I’ve mistrusted Cats claim since it happened, so I’m not sure why it’s scummy for me to now. shrugs
Also, no insinuation involved, I’m straight out saying that cats is lying.
