ISO’d Muffins.
Just remembered they town told in my opinion. Probably for a stupid reason but i can get bitched about it later.
I don’t agree with that. Not only are you overvaluing the info gained from a lynch, you’re undervaluing the info gained just from having an active player (like catspurr) alive for an extra day. Lynching an active player on d1 might generate info right away, but you lose a lot of info in the long run.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t remember you objecting to my vote on Josh for lurking. If you are not defending AD specifically, why didn’t you say anything about the Josh wagon?
I’m not a lurker
I’ll be back tonight with some thoughts on the recent discussions. In any case, I am leaning more on the side of Urist here. Nanook, unless you can point to a target outside of Cats (since I don’t agree that, from what we’ve seen, that Cats is Scum), I think lynching ActionDan is probably the right move here. That is, unless AD jumps back to life and starts answering some of the questions that he’s been asked.
I don’t think I responded to all of Mantis’ and Nanook’s points on my questioning of Srceenplay so I’ll address that too (I don’t think it’s that important for anybody but I did want to try and close the loop). I still have to do another re-read.
For the sake of the argument you are, since you’ve contributed about as much as AD has.
urist
andres
_fferyllt
mantis
parsec
cats
josh9 (just because)
cabd or smildon (the one who replaced skitter)
I think this is my no lynch pile for the day.
cabd = skitter
dunno if it’s a good or bad thing that the majority of players have essentially reached the same lynch pool
either scum’s playing terribly or something is going wrong
VOTE: muffins
muffina wasn’t townreading you
No but strongly agreeing with the other reads but going a different direction themselves.
It doesn’t matter much. They are in the town side of things.
I saw that as a “Josh is being stupid” vote. Was it a lurker vote instead?
I think we’ve reached stylistic agree to disagree and talk about it in the AAR territory with this at this point.
@Urist can you explain the ActionDan case to me without using “lurker”?
Like, what has actively been scummy about him, besides lurking, in your opinion?
It was mostly a “Josh is being stubborn” vote. But that’s beside the point. My point is that a Josh lynch would have conferred about as much info as an AD lynch. With that in mind, why did you not speak out when people started voting for Josh?
I mean, I did challenge what I thought was Mantis wanting to lynch Josh for being stubborn town…so I kind of did speak out, I’d say?
There’s also to consider…it’s a lot easier to argue against a lurker lynch than a “this player is frustrating lynch.” Like, people are going to vote against people they’re frustrated with, and there’s only so much you can right away, so it’s better in my opinion to see if it dies down…and if it doesn’t, then you argue against it.
Dunno, maybe I should’ve stepped in earlier, but, ya know, nobody’s perfect.
Not gonna lie, lurking is a big reason for why I’m voting him. It’s inherently scummy.
Aside from that, I agree with muffinman that AD’s posts in the beginning of the game leave a lot to be desired. They’re not super scummy, but I have enough people as town that AD got moved to the short list of lynchables.
He wouldn’t really be my first choice of lynch, but I’m unlikely to get a lot of support for the person I really wanna lynch (Josh).
Searching for a replacement for ActionDan.
I fundamentally disagree with lurking being inherently scummy, but I guess we’re not going to change each others minds on that subject.
Talk to me about Josh, what makes him scummy to you?
VC 1-30
ActionDan: 4 (Srceenplay, catspurr, Andresvmb, Urist)
catspurr: 1(ActionDan)
Srceenplay: 1(MetalSonic)
Andresvmb: 1 (parsec)

_fferyllt: 1 (Josh)
**Not voting: 4 (smilodon, _fferyllt, Nanook, Mantis)
With 13 alive, it takes 7 to lynch.
