I think the cage-match we’re looking for is Urist vs Andres.
Not here for long, I certainly don’t remember anyone saying anything about or even speculating on anyones race.
In the CT that is, and I don’t think we have given it much thought or notice in the thread.
Until I realised that Urist had known something before anyone else.
What may have started my thinking about it was that Urist Race Cop role was discussed in the CT.
And I realised, that the Race Cop role could discover scum if when he Race Coped a player it returned that they were of the Cult of Bad____Guys
Which does not explain what a view of the Miller would return.
I would have thought that Cardasian would have been a big question mark as when I was watching the show they were the Baddies, but apparently that does not apply in this game.
v From yesterday.
If Metal is VT and Mantis is VT.
We don’t know that the sleepwalking does anything at all.
I’m still thinking that it interfers with a power role.
BUT
If Metal had no power role and Mantis had no power role, there is NO evidence that it does anything more than players getting pieces of clothng and Judges Bauble.
Maybe a little bit? As I said before, I would guess that the scum are all Bajoran or Cardassian. I don’t think a Ferengi character would be scum, and that is partially why I’m not looking at you for scum.
The only caveat is that in the end, it’s really hard to trust flavour to sort a person’s alignment.
So are you saying you could have flavour guessed Judge’s race, and that’s why you guessed a name instead of saying Judge was Ferengi, who then immediately volunteered they were Nog?
^Asking for a friend.
I’ve been kind of thinking that my role counts as an alignment cop if all of the scum appear to be Bajoran (like Cabd) or Cardassian (like Nanook). And that ffery threw in the “miller” thing as a hint that a Cardassian result on pyx does not mean that he is scum.
OK. What do you think of Andres? Are you amicable to the self-defenses he’s posted?
No… there are a lot of races in the Star Trek Universe. So far we have:
Human (Andres)
Cardassian (Nanook, pyx)
Ferengi (Josh, MS, Judge)
Trill (Srceenplay)
Bajoran (Cabd)
Klingon (_fferyllt)
Probably others, I forget what everyone else claimed.
I guessed Judge’s character because I didn’t want to let on that I knew her race, but I did want to show that I did know her race. That was the best way I knew how to do that.
I haven’t read them too carefully tbh. He is someone I need to look into more. I could see him as scum for a couple reasons that I don’t have a lot of time to get in-depth into, but include the fact that Josh was killed after he suggested in the QT that I inspect him or Josh.
OK, so finally we have something close to making sense re why no alignment cop. However…ffery games never rely on flavour to solve, so perhaps I’m even dumber than I thought*, or it’s a red herring of a role.
*I still do not see the significance of you guessing a role and then my saying my character name fit with that. If scum were different races, they’d have safe claims, no?
If scum are Cardassian and Bajoran, as the Cult of Pah-Wraith flavour suggests, then you, as a Ferengi, could not be scum.
But it’s just speculation on flavour so meh.
Wait so this is a star trek game? Damn I really have no idea about the flavor
Yeah I literally thought this was a separate tv sitcom that had nothing to do with Star Trek
yes, i can see how you would think that. evil ghost-worshipping cults are all the rage in sitcoms nowadays.
I’m rereading a bit. If Andres is scum it means that he was the first on the Cabd wagon d1, but also the first one off (after Nanook). I’m not sure I buy the idea of both scum jumping off the wagon of their scumfriend at the same time. Maybe if it was Nanook who went second, I would buy it, but I can’t see Andres hopping off right after Nanook.
Andres was also the first to vote Cabd d2 (the first time the wagon built). He also voted Cabd second at the end of day two when it would have been easy to ignore the wagon or just pretend to be offline or whatever.
The vote count analysis makes Andres look town, in other words.
This is just from a quick skim but those facts are pretty strong indicators for Andres-town.
I’ll do cats tomorrow if I have the time, I need to sleep now.
hmm apart from D1 voting, I think scum has been able to hide really well in the scrappy wagons and town dithering. Even so…I don’t know about the logic of scum won’t follow their buddy. I might be reckless as scum, but I’d not bat an eyelid to jump off a wagon if I had an ostensible reason to. He was working some serious cases on me and mantis, wasn’t he?
