Deep Space 9 Mafia - Game Over!

It’s a bit odd that Nanook isn’t that bothered by cabd’s previous posts. I mean, just trying to think from his scum perspective. If he would ignore the below. You might think that, Nanook, pretending to play town, would act bothered by cabd’s suspicion. But he doesn’t really touch on it much.

Ya pyx had back and forth with many.

Anyway, if it’s not obvious, I still like my cabd vote, and think there’s a good chance he is scum. I am not bothered by trying to figure out what might have happened with the track.

I could also vote pyx as well, I think

I iso’ed parsec, and the only thing he really had for him was relaxed tone & miller claim. He was pushing on Andres for what he thought were holes in what Andres was saying.

One thing I did find townish with pyx, was the declaring of cabd and cats looked town to him. Which I thought was a bit bold, because it was sort of a unpopular opinion. But, I don’t think that’s enough.

I will join here as of now

UNVOTE: cabd
VOTE: pyx

I am not really agreeing on this push on pyx,
I think he just waffled as a humourous way to deal with the walls of text and the B/S between CABD & Metal, which if they are both town I think they could both have handled better.

I’m trying to do poe
Who would be in your scum pile? Say 4 ppl ? That you think could be scum

I have asked pyx if he is scum, if he says a straight out no, then he is not.
If he hums and arhs then he is.

Urist I have as earnest town
and Andre as earnest town.
But one of them could be the town leader who turns out to be scum.

Both have done things to make me pause and think, Um? maybe?
Andre could be using his walls of post as a screen to scum.

Urists readings are not as straight forward as I am use to him doing.
Both his, town reads and scum read are stretched more than I expect from him.

I hope and expect I might be wrong about both of them.

srceen has been a question mark the whole game.
They seem to have taken delight in not looking towny and saying I am so towny.
Their whole attitude this game is off.

Mantis, you could be town or scum, you have not played one of your obvious town games.
Probably simply because you are to tired to think straight, but some of your suggestions seem to be stretches.

BUT saying this I liked your take on CABD?
Okay, sorry, You are n my town pile.

CABD Scum
Metal Scum
^ I think one of these two are scum

Josh could be scum as easily as town,

Judge Metal slight town lean.
I have a lot of people to sort and the ones who are talking the most are as likely to be scum as the ones not posting much.

Who have I forgot?

this is utter bullshit and I’m certainly not saying you are the bullshitter

pyx must be thrilled that you believe the myth that he perpetuates - that he doesn’t lie as scum: if you really do believe this then you simply have no ability to read him

:ohyes::shrug:

@catspurr

…does it look like I’m often not thinking straight? :s what suggestions seem to be off? The redirector or bus driver thing? If you think cabd or MS could be scum, are you interested in trying to figure it out? What do you think could be happening?

But thanks for the list. Helps to see where you’re at.

I can’t answer exactly on things yo have said that make me think, yea town, or yea maybe not.
The game is just to long and I am not going to reread everything.
As to figuring out what happened between MS & CABD the only way to do that is to lynch one of them or for a night action to clear things up.

I think we have agreed to let the night actions sort things.
If both are alive tomorrow, they both should have more results to report.

I expect there to be more than one death tonight.
_fferyllt was a one shot vig, so I expect there will be more kill powers out there.

But the Problem With this solution is ^ that I am farrly sure one of CABD or Metal are scum, which means we are probably only looking for one more scum out of everyone.
And maybe a Indie.

I can’t remember Fferyllt ever having a four person scum team.

VC 2-13

pyx: 3 (Urist, Andresvmb, Mantis)
Judge Mental: 1 (Metal Sonic)
Metal Sonic: 1 (Josh)
Urist: 1 (Srceenplay)

Not voting: 4 (pyx, Cabd, catspurr, Judge Mental)

With 10 alive, it takes 6 to lynch.

Deadline: August 25, 2018 4:00 AM

This topic will close automatically 30 minutes after the deadline.

I am tempted to vote Metal or CABD to sort them, I am not happy at this time with the urist, judge or pyx vote.
That may well change depending on pyx answering my questions.

BUMP for Pyx

It doesn’t. I was not being serious, just as Screenplay seemed not to be and Urist has seemed not to be, with apparent “Fake” (Screenplay’s repeated term) claims of Town Cop and Town Wil Wheaton, Super Duper Beloved Princess. Please see again my next posts:

As I said, I’ve been trying to get better reads on both Screenplay and Urist, who I have as questionable.

Screenplay posted to Scum!Nanook (who was pushing cats as scum):

skitter, the cabd slot posted to Nanook this:

To which Screenplay then replied:

and,

In other words, Screen admits the N0 inno claim on cats was a gambit.

Screenplay was again becoming a questionmark for me so I jokingly did the same, which was actually taken seriously, or was it, with Screenplay claiming to have then targeted me? Urist at least had a good laugh, but is that because he alone understood the joke? And why would that be?

I am not scum or anything but town. I agree with one or two others who have indicated some confusion over their own towniness or standard nomenclature due to some word absences or changes from the norm, but what I was told was not confusing to me. I’m sided with Prophets and win there, having no confusion over my role whatsoever.

And as to cabd, I recently said this,

Some think the Nanook late vote on cabd pushing them to L-1 gives creedence to cabd being a bussed scumbuddy. I took the opposite view yesterday, not so much regarding that vote but on the interactions between the two, when I posted this:

I literally don’t know what you’re refering to. Do you mean this?

When I mentioned the bauble, that’s in reponse to cabd mentioning a “reverse fruit vendor”. You related that the bauble is of no consequence (Mantis may have done the same with the gown, I’m not sure). I have taken your word on that, not gaslighted over it. There are of course flavour reasons that fairlylit fferyllt chose a bauble and a gown. Again, I’ve taken your word that you believe the gift is simply “fruit” and of no consequence, but I also know that fairlylit fferyllt is a bit different than some players here have described, for what may or may not be in play, whether players are aware or not, and for good every bit as much as for ebil – in other words, nai. I know fairlylit fferyllt to ne quite creative, inventive, and to have previously used mechainics other have said they would not, but I won’t go into a lot of detail there.

I just know the GM has given us this:

“The game will be role-heavy and may have some unusual hidden or public mechanics.”
“On the floor near him is an oddly glowing purplescent object. The object seems to react to your gaze, and slowly disappears.”

So when I see things, things other players have been forthright about revealing, I am putting them into that equation. It doesn’t mean they are significant, but we ought to weigh that they might be or could be, or not.

But I have been skeptical. Why else would I ask YOU,

And add,

And post to cabd,

I never said that. I did repeatedly bring up cabd’s list:

What I said was this, after immediately removing parsec’s Andres vote,

and this,

D2 Andres brought up that Scum!Nanook gets into disagreements with his scum teammates. I’ve been reading and rereading Nanook to see if that might fit more than other Nanook interactions (like buddying, avoidance, or distancing).

skitter (cabd’s slot) was the first to detail a shoot-down of Scum!Nanook’s mass claim idea, as only giving the scum team targets and an ability to plan around PR claims. Sure, it could have been a ruse to give Scum!Nanook the opportunity to defend that position (even with links), but in her first wot skitters continues to shoot down the idea, also finding Nanook’s post of 2 early scum reads and shading without voting as “icky”, and also being pinged by Nanook’s trying to force the 2nd scum read. Then she follows up with this:

Then, when cabd takes over he comes in with Nanook as his strongest scum read, voting there.

All that’s on a reread knowing Nanook was mafia. As a D1 stand alone my read on skitters was also townish. She early defends the Urist opening prepared post as nai, town reads abrasive Screenplay when others aren’t, and actively looks for how AKFD and _fferyllt might not be scum together. In fact, she’s pretty thorough on AKFD. She agreed with Nanook on a scum read of cats but actually invites a clear there from screen, 'till it becomes clear the screen claim is fake. Skitters well-defends her own scum read on cats, esp. in argument with Andres, while completely shooting down Nanook’s scum read on cats.
