i thought he seemed inquisitive when i first read through and that made me feel alright about him
then i went back and read his posts in one go and it just looks like he was using questions and commentary on non-alignment-related stuff as a way to avoid providing game-relevant content (he’s given two actual reads so far and one of them was a wishy-washy lean town)
not going to say im confident dan is scum or anything, just dont like his posting so far
Between the two I would lean scum/wolf on Josh rather than Urist.
Admittedly I always find his style towny, as I do Andre.
But Urist certainly seems to scum hunt and try to sort players a lot more earnestly than Josh.
For a day one read, it is keeping it up for days and days that will be harder for the real scum.
There is nothing strange about, what one player sees as genuine scum hunting, another sees as ‘try hard’.
But after three games with Urist his style is exactly what you see here.
So? if he is scum, we are not going to pick it up from his style.
So like in this post you included the three names you wanted to lynch within. I don’t really get scumdan vibes at present. Your explanation like… I see where you’re coming from but meh, I dunno. The other guy’s floaty; but nanook has teeth.
This wagon has booty if ye remember ye rancid days.
I’m taking this game into my own hands, screw decorum.
@urist i really don’t like your wholly boring and trite reply to my boring and safe posts, but here we are!
If I’ve said it once I’ve said it a million times, boring and methodical is the best way to play these days because apathy is scum’s strongest tool and hoo boy does thread spam advance it.
Ok, but is “opinion is not well thought out” generally more likely to be from scum or from town? I’d argue that someone not thinking something all the way through tends to be a townie trait more often than a scum one, and is more often than either of those NAI.
Andres said that either you’re both town, or one is scum, both not both. parsec is saying that exactly one of us is scum. That’s the difference.
I was gonna make another argument but it really doesn’t matter. I only took issue with it because I think Josh might be town.
Btw being boring seems like an amazing way to stir up town apathy.
Besides, I said you were unoriginal and safe, not boring.
I say this because I doubt anyone is going to question those reads, they’re uninsightful at best, and leaving cats as a backup lynch in case the Nanook wagon doesn’t pan out seems like a solid strategy.
Sure, a not well thought out vote is more likely to be from Town, I would agree. But that ignores context. Srceenplay looked like he was looking for a crappy excuse to get a vote on Cats, who would have been sitting at L-2. That’s a dangerous spot to put someone in, so it would also make sense as Town that you would try and have some sort of rationale for said vote.
I don’t know what to make of Srceenplay pulling said vote after questioning from Muffin, Cats and I. Scum might have looked to maintain the vote for a bit longer (I know I would have tried). So the quick change could be a sign that Srceenplay agreed with what was said and pulled back. It could also simply be a reaction to avoid further scrutiny. I don’t know.
Wait, hold on. Isn’t Srceen maintaining that his claim clears Cats? So how do you explain any vote on Cats? I mean, this definitely eliminates any possibility of that claim being true, that’s for sure.
