Deep Space 9 Mafia - Game Over!

:no_mouth: that’s tricky

if I wasn’t clear to everyone, I am not voting screen unless that means there won’t otherwise be a lynch.

I would. But gun to my head, if you asked me whether I 100% trust Srceenplay’s claim, I would say no. For instance, why target me? I understand that Srceen might be reasonably certain that I am Town, and (maybe?) thinks I am worth protecting. But nobody has me as their top Town read (from what I can recall). And I have gotten into a few arguments with players amongst which I am now fairly certain there’s Town (Judge Mental, Mantis, Urist, and Josh…). As Scum, I just feel like you might want to eliminate the Town players both least likely to be mislynched and least likely to create an association back to you. I am not that player. Which is why Pyx trying to protect Mantis just intuitively makes sense to me. And Srceen claiming to have protected me last night does not. And that’s just the beginning. The claims that we have seen just make it less likely that Srceen is telling the truth. However, if he is, it means that one of the least powerful claims is probably the Scum (and quite obviously lying about their power). Urist fits that profile. I would be fine with anybody arguing that I do too. I’m as close to a Vanilla as it gets. At least until I investigate this Orb I collected from Josh.

I think you get the point. From surveying the votes, I do not think we have enough people willing to vote for Urist today. So I think that lynching Srceen and sorting them both makes a certain amount of sense. If Srceen is telling the truth, I think people (*cough* Mantis *cough*) will be more willing to reconsider their hard stances on this.

I took another close look at Urist. We all gots blemishes but I don’t think it’s him. Yeah, he looks bad on not hammering cabd D1 and moving the wagon to smilodon, and he has maybe the weakest claim of a “racecop” and being N1 blocked with no block message, and I don’t agree with Mantis’ “lock town” thingie, but she’s right on his defenses of MS and I think he has enough townie points on other stuff to maybe be OK. I mean, the lizard isn’t clicking, so that has o mean something.

On the other hand, the VCA on Screen and Andres looks pretty sketch. I agree that IF MS has some sooper power and is town then Screen’s is too much, esp. if Josh or Andres are to be believed. The tricky part there is IF there’s an Indie 3P, who might need us to lynch town anyway.

I know you have doubts, but I can swallow a Scum!Screen all up in the D1 theatre with Nanook and cabd (as a planned theme), trying to fish out a cop with his false inno on you. And, though it’s harder, I can see a Scum!Screen faux claiming Bulletproof Doc to out my Bodyguard. But I can’t abide a Scum!Screen not putting in a kill last night unless it was an option between that and using some other power he felt was more important. I could still vote there, and I know Mantis is eager to get on with it, but I’d like to be more confident of Andres and you.

I’m really having a hard time adding up townie points for Andres.

You make a good point that a fake claimed doc would probably still put in a kill order.
After all, their scum buddy has just been lynched, we have to assume they are alone on the scum board, so then they say, right, lets not kill anyone?

What do you make of Andre’s saying that Srceen choosing to protect him (andre) is a mark against srceen?

It sounds like Ike it makes Andres towny

I won’t make the argument in my favor too long. However, you really don’t seem to be giving me much credit for… anything, really. So, in your mind, I get into arguments with various other players (for example, Mantis in #1269) about Nanook being potentially Scum because he was pushing a meta read I couldn’t see (#1076 is really where my skepticism started to kick in, and then I provide some more background in #1145 and #1154) just to distance, bus Cabd on D1 and D2 (picking up on his excuse to vote for Josh as being shady [#1234], pushing for Cabd over Smilodon to Srceen at the end of D1 (#1528), on top of pushing for MS/Cabd to be resolved [#1921, #1927] when I could have easily taken the out handed by Urist and looked elsewhere to avoid lynching my Scum buddy [#2134, #2548, #2551, #2554]), as part of my grand plan to be left as potentially the last Scum standing hoping that people Town read me until the end of the game? I really hope that you guys give me a smidgen more credit than this.

From re-reading, I also noticed that you had Cabd as spewed Town (#2033), which I argued against in #2036. Again, why would I do this as Scum?

Well, I think that whole post looks townie.
It might not look like it, since I and my predecessor started with doubts on Andres, but I’ve swung pretty widely on a read there. I’d have to recheck, but I think a lot of folk have had Andres as town, including Screen. But it’s an excellent point for further research - that Andres was Screen’s towniest after me.

Screen has said mechanically today’s lynch should be me (or Urist), and he may be right. I know I’m town, and that assessment from Screen looks sketch too since he claims to have protected me just the night before and claims my Miller role fits perfectly with his, unless he’s changed his mind there. But he DID ask for race claims before Urist claimed racecop. Urist claiming to have investigated Judge both nights, with the first being blocked with no block message looks sketch too.

Here’s the thing, there’s a lot of sketch to go around if we’re talking just 1 scum left, unless maybe some of it is 3P sketch, which can fit several players, including Screen.

^ that was to cats on the previous Andres post. I don’t know why it didn’t attach.

anyway, I think we have to lynch between urist and srceen today.

urist and mantis hard push on srceen seems to set that up.
my real concern for town is that they both may well be town.

There is only 1 scum, so if we pick at random it’s 8/9 chance to town and 1/9 chance to scum, of course they’ll likely be town lmao

I’m waiting excitedly to see what good (or boring) role urist gives me for his game) tbh

We don’t know what yours is here yet. Probably a Grammar Cop, I’d guess.

And that too gives me pause on Screenplay - we don’t have all the mechanical pieces yet, so I’d rather vote the players than their parts. The thing that matters most is alignment, followed by who fits the mafia team profile. I’m not sure Screenplay fits those best.

I’m not really sure tbh. I think screen could work there. Maybe I’m obsessed :stuck_out_tongue:

I thought he was scum from the beginning… then it just sort of faded. But urist talking about OP role made a lot of sense. Pretty much night immune.

I’m wondering why cats says either urist or screen. Still have to catch up

Because scum say NI.
Or
Because town leaves that part out until need to know to bait a kill.

Hmm. What one wins the game for their team?

I probably did…

VC 3-9 (No Change)

Screenplay: 3 (Urist, Mantis, catspurr)
Josh: 1 (Metal Sonic)
Pyx: 1 (Judge Mental)

Not voting: 5 (srceenplay, Andresvmb Josh, pyx)

With 9 alive, it takes 5 to lynch.

Well last scum being night immune is a good way to get through to the end.

I’ve liked Andres latest posts. I especially liked how he brought up how it was odd he was protected. Because I also thought the same.

Why did you think andres would be likely to be night killed , screen?

He seemed more obvious town to me.
Posts seem more thoughtful and engaging.
I think honk others are also town but still how doubts in the back of my mind. He is who I have least doubts on.

Judge do you still think that we need to sort pyx?
