Some notes/questions later. I think it’s super paramount that town try to project town as soon as possible and not treat early game posts the same as an early game post in a standard game.
Been trying to think of some readable low-impact wifom thing scum have to do early to make kickstarting stuff easier (something like the d1 axe in the liar’s club setup, but less extreme).
I think almost all classic roles are “overpowered” in that they’re too high impact and individual-centric.
@hito and I had started chatting about some potential setups before I left vacation and hopefully we’ll both have time to get back to that soon but the idea is we want simple roles that have player-selected wifomy low-impact results.
I want random EV’s to be something in the neighborhood of 35/65 or 40/60 so we need some very small buffs here and there for the mountainous-feeling 7 player version of this.
A change I think I want to implement the next run is to give the goon a choice of who their godfather is.
As for this game - town got punished pretty hard for a couple bad phases D1 and ending D2 too early.
Also, if this were being run by a bot it wouldn’t have a subjective sense of leniency for waiting for late submissions. There would have been a healthy amount of blank posts this game.
I’m under the impression most of them were due to forgetting vs. not having time? Do mobile notifications work for ppl?
But you didn’t get it right at the end, and you barely tried to get anyone to rally to your side during D3. If you had made more arguments during the first three phases of D3, we might have done a little better. I mean, I clearly wasn’t the only one that thought that you were the last Scum. Beeboy thought the same. And MS voted for you. And also, you barely expressed any skepticism of Erika, and none at all D3. But then, no one really did except for GTacc when it was already too late. And that’s fine. But then don’t call me a dumbass for making an argument against you, when you had me dead wrong when I was around and also had the last Scum wrong like everyone else.
I don’t think anyone got closer than this except MS, who promptly ignored it to vote me anyways.
Maybe if you hadn’t been so incredulous that someone could get your alignment wrong, you wouldn’t have focused in on me and been able to ID scum. See how that argument doesn’t work?
And yeah, you’re right, I didn’t try to rally people hard on D3. I didn’t have a strong enough read to do so. I probably could’ve done more to try and coerce a townread, but I’m more concerned with finding scum than I am manufacturing self-town reads. I do find it kind of funny that you want to throw mud my way for misreading you, when you did the same thing on me–I guess both are somehow my fault? But if you want to get into the blame game…remind me…how many scum did you vote for, again? Was it zero? Cause I think it was zero.
You really don’t get it do you? Did I argue that I played well? Or that Town deserved to win? Because I don’t recall saying any of that. You’re the person actively calling others a dumbass. And you could barely get anything right. Sure, I didn’t play great. But when did I act incredulous for you not reading me right? I appealed to you directly to reconsider. But did I ever argue that I was obviously Town and anybody arguing otherwise is an idiot? If anything, I argued the reverse against GTacc. And I did ID Scum in Mantis. If Town hadn’t ended the day early, I would have surely voted for Mantis like I was openly advertising I was going to do all through D2. And you know it too which is why your comment is completely laughable. I’m not sitting here arguing that my contributions were invaluable. I’m sitting here arguing that you calling people a dumbass for getting shit wrong is ridiculous when you couldn’t (i) correctly identify Scum besides the one others had also identified, or (ii) have people read you as Town.
Id rather give the win to my best friend here if you were going to make it impossible to win the day. Also… the dead town really kinda made it straightforward as to who to vote… lol
