I disagree. If there were solid reasons to town read you, I’d probably be town reading you right now. But the closest out of my PoE to being townread is Cavin, not yourself.
Care to substantiate this statement?
I think it’s eminently reasonable that they could both be scum. It is precisely because of your reaction, and the reactions of others, that I believe it possible.
It’s like you WANT me to scumread you.
This is in no way a town reaction. If you’re town and think I’m town, shouldn’t your goal be to show me that you’re town? More townreads = Smaller PoE
A reasonable individual understands that rhetorical questions do not need to be responded to. If I have missed something that I consider rhetorical, but you do not, please let me know so I can reduce your attack vector further.
Just realize we have finite time and finite arguments we can have. I consider that antitown.
Decision paralysis is common, but just realize that if you aren’t going to be proactive, you aren’t going to stop them from steamrolling the game with their PoE strategy.
That’s better than what you’re doing now. I’m not completely egotistical. I’m not going to act like I’m the towniest player in the game. It certainly makes much more sense than considering us to be partners, which is either complete tinfoil or just noncommital.
Sure. Post 511. I would add it to this one but I’m not too good with this forum software, which is new to me.
I can only respond, again, with post 511. There are way too many telling signs that go against that theory if you put yourself in their shoes.
I don’t understand how you find that statement scum motivated. I’m really just trying to wrangle you in.
I don’t know what to say to that. I prefer to try and figure out the mystery. Defending myself every time someone sneezes at me is boring at best and unproductive at worst.
Nothing I’ve asked you has been intended as rhetorical, ESPECIALLY early game when I repeatedly asked you to substantiate your reads. You’re foisting intent upon me instead of taking 30 seconds to answer questions. Again, I’m not villifying you for it, but you’re jumping to use me not responding to your scumread on me instantly as cannon fodder to continue the attack. Don’t you see how I can find that frustrating?
I don’t actually hate the strategy and I don’t think chess and nanook are steamrolling the game with it, I just think its preposterous for, for instance, chesskid saying he wants to get 6 lock towns so he doesn’t even have to engage with me because its too much work to explain his reads rather than just have people that would mindlessly sheep him. that’s all.
I see engaged tn as more beneficial to the game regardless of his alignment than dismissed and ignored tn. His argument is wrong, but I still want him playing and pushing places.
Good, I agree with that. You’re just doing the opposite of that. Acknowledging a weird theory and letting it slide is basically the same as ignoring him. You aren’t challenging it. Arguing with him and showing him why it can’t be true is engaging, but you seem to be conflating it with ignoring.
I know I don’t have a better argument here, but your back and forth with him pinged me as disingenuous.
You put a pound symbol in front of the post number to link a post automatically, like so: #511
Further, the unstated reasoning for lynching StarV is more sound than the reasoning that has already been mentioned. StarV is a player that will hipfire or hammer based on gut alone, which is dangerous to take into mylo/lylo, and more reasonable town members would prefer he not be alive at that point.
I don’t see how this substantiates your argument that the Engravings/Cavin argument wasn’t scum theatre, though. Perhaps you simply misunderstood what I was asking.
I don’t, can’t, agree with this viewpoint. Scum will do what it takes to get townread, one way or another.
I am a known worrier, so telling me not to worry just pisses me off. It’s not so much that this particular statement causes me to scumread you, it’s more that it makes me angry with you.
I feel like you’re overcompensating in the other direction here. “If I refuse to defend myself, then obviously I’m in the right” doesn’t actually work.
Please explain how I’m supposed to interpret the following as questions:
