Triple Tickle Game Thread (Day 4)

What about Martin?

Even though I do TR Luft, I really don’t see in what world the third Killer actively exposes themselves as not Specialist unless it’s a totally sick gambit.

Ah crap.

Lol

Hold on then.

Here’s the thing. If Martin is Killer, he correctly called you Golden Girl Town, and has at least 2 Killers in the unknown.

Like, this is more often than not just Vanilla Town. There’s also the fact that they read me correctly D1.

HOWEVER, they have the same issue I’m picking up with Spak, in that they also seem to hint a bit heavily about not being Specialist. See, that’s why I didn’t want that conversation to happen at all haha

Eh maybe not. I thought this could be a hint, but I think Martin does a good job of not being obvious not Specialist.

And to be fair, this hints heavily that they would like to make it obvious to the rest of the Town about what the Specialist will do, without slipping.

I would take Martin and Youbutworse to the end, execute Spak and Luft. Martin was particularly pinged by Luftwaffle so maybe they have a point. I don’t know.

That’s my contribution. Now I’m going to sit back and watch Erika die.

Roleblocking Luftwaffle, Execute Spak into Martin if wrong

Everybody in the pool should provide observations before we execute, and nobody else should vote because Erika is likely to self-vote here.

I’ll come back and read later.

Honestly out of everyone that’s left, I’m most suspicious of YBW. I just did an ISO and he has literally no reads aside from Golden, nor has he really contributed any unique views to the game. The only things I can find from him that aren’t just echoing someone else’s opinion are:

  1. Commenting on not liking my Golden post yesterDay (valid considering what we know now lol)
  2. Saying that the Spec should probably use heartrate

He’s sorta just been coasting and sheeping the thread intent. Even as of D2 (I think? I forget the D2’s starting post number), his readlist is this:

If I were a killer, I’d want to lay low; the other killers’ first priority would be to kill me, so if I were never considered a threat, I could easily live to endgame.

Also, I still think that Luft v. Martin reads as TvT and Andres has honestly been carrying this game from a scumhunting perspective. YBW is the odd one out, and he’d make a lot of sense as our last killer.

Also also: in regards to Andres’ point, I’d think that whoever is the Spec wouldn’t try to breadcrumb that they’re a PR. Furthermore, I thought they would try to make an effort to crumb not being a PR until lategame (or when they thought it would be advantageous), since the claims could be easily verified. I was clearly wrong in that assumption (based on how Sam’s been playing Spec), but I figured I’d at least tell you the reason why I played like I did.

No I get this. I mean I agree. You would have had no idea I was Specialist until I was ready to out my results (at least 2 Checks, though I would have crumbed my first Check, or Check/RB), and alive at D3 with both still around. Something like that. The fact that Golden Girl just outted D2 and prevented the shot N2 was unorthodox, but mighty effective.

But that’s not what I was arguing. I was arguing that in order to not get shot N1, if you’re not the first Killer (and we know the first Killer was Phone), you have to somehow signal that it’s not you who is the Specialist (because you’re trying not to get shot, and you sure as hell are not counting on Specialist using RB N1 and succeeding) or at least as the third Killer, I very much would have tried to do that. So I was trying to point to who might have done that.

Like it’s why Youbutworse’s gambit might just be so effective. Openly saying “it’s not me!” (and that’s basically what I interpret they did close to the end of the Day) basically means you have to be TR’ed, or the Town might just turn against you later. And you’re expecting the Specialist to be outted at some point, so it really just boils down to you pursuing a difficult strategy that if you’re not natural, will not work. It’s bold. Or, it could have been done in a moment of madness, without a thought. I just wouldn’t have done that myself, and that’s why I think it’s more likely VT.
