About interactions, they shouldn’t be less meaningful than usual: tone can still be read. It’s just that associative tells are null and void here.

Since this is a non-standard open setup and not everyone here has played for that long, let’s do some theorizing. Anyone who gets on (or Sam if you come back tonight): if you were the Specialist, how do you think you’d use it?

Also @Seththeking could killers do a NK? Trying to determine how the Specialist could be used as a PoE tool. (i.e. I blocked X and someone died so I know they’re not this person in the rotation).

I strongly oppose this. Let the Specialist WIFOM his way out of the kill. All the Specialist should do is breadcrumb his actions (i.e. sneak what he did in his posts in a way that isn’t easily detectable, but that will be findable if we specifically look for it because he flipped), so that we get the info when he dies. I say “he”, but it could always be me. Or not. Maybe I’m saying that to draw the kill, or maybe I’m saying that to look like I want to draw the kill so that I don’t die. WHO KNOWS

Isn’t this directly contradicting itself? If they wanna be townread, they would be nice probably. This game is also reliant on kingmaking, so I don’t really see this point.

What’s the thing you townread most in a player?

(Note that this was originally in a post directed to Spak, but next it was told that everyone should answer it)
I townread it when someone makes reads that actually seem logical, and just if the stuff they do seem AtE. And ehh I also make gutreads alot which is bad but I think my gut generally is somewhat good?

I’m also gonna be very honest, I like being townread as town because it makes me feel like I’m doing something “right”, so I’ll usually try my hardest to towntell on purpose which people can take as a self-aware / tryhard scum :<

Sadly I can confirm this… But she also wants to be townread as scum so sadly wanting to being townread isn’t a towntell

Likely I would use the Heart Rate function till there are 2 scum left. Right now a Roleblock can find 1/3 scum, opposed to Heart Rate which can find 2/3. So I believe it’s just better to use Heart Rate for now as there’s just more chance of finding something. A heal isn’t rlly optimal on the other hand imo, as you’d either be saving a non-PR, or possibly even a scum.

Second, I brutally misunderstood Specialist. Roleblocking is definitely the most important mechanic as it can confirm a killer, giving +1 HML (Half Miselim) and +1 mafia dead. Getting this information out is the difficult part, but yeah, roleblocking is most definitely optimal here.

But like; it’s rare for roleblocking to actually stop something, right?

I’m not sure if I necessarily dislike Luft’s READ on me overall, but I do think the way that they just zoomed over every other post and said “This post sus!” should be spoken about? I’m not sure if what I did near the beginning was really all that towny as the read wasn’t inherently great, but I don’t think reading someone for a poor reason should warrant a Non-RVS vote. It’s especially weird to me at least that you decided to skip over the part where I said I like to be townread, as that’s one of the bases of your argument?

I think the biggest SCUMTELL for me will be when I’m playing in such a way that resembles my town meta TOO perfectly? I know that sounds somewhat strange but I can play in such a way that you will not be able to tell the difference… it’s why I’ve still never been 1ynched

I think it’s enough for a vote personally tho as there’s not much to read? So like, all votes would be about small things rn, right? Altho, I do agree that it’s odd that Luft skipped over that part where you said you like to be townread.

Hm… I feel like somewhat more of a scumtell is that if you are scum it feels like you’re insane and hyperactive. Note that you aren’t, it just comes over to me that way. On the other hand, you also feel like that when you’re drunk. Except then you don’t make sense.
