That’s what I said, lol. Optimal scum approach doesn’t mean every scum will do that. If the team were me, you, and MS, for example, I dunno that ang of us would play it “optimally.” But, for most people, I think in a game that incentivizes scum to lurk the temptation is too much to resist.

Actually, their play has been almost exactly what I’d expect from scum. They’re probably the patsy, but hey, I’d rather lynch scum here.
It’s inherent in the setup—one scum is guaranteed to die between D1/N1, and a lurking scum is less likely to draw connections to partners. If I were playing scum, I’d basically tell one of my teammates to never post a single serious thought—if they get lynched for it, oh well, they were gonna die one way or another…and if they don’t, awesome, we have an easy shot N1 that doesn’t leave a bunch of connections to follow.

I’m suspicious of Andres/DS at the moment. The way Andres came to defend DS is also not to my liking.

Could be Andres, that feels easy though. Could be gtacc, I don’t really know how to read them. Currently my thinking is VUN/DS/one more TBD. Could be cats, could be Andres, could be…I feel like I’m forgetting someone, but I’d have to look at the roster and I’m lazy rn.
And yeah, maybe I should’ve held on to that for a bit longer to see how it played out, but I figured the trade off of forcing town (and by extension, scum) to participate or risk being lynched was worth it, especially in a game where we’re guaranteed to get a scum dead by N1. I’ll take people forced to participate in that exchange.

Yes, and? I’m still going to push for an immediate lynch on anyone lurking more than 24 hours without explanation. Or active lurking. This is not a game we can afford lazy town in, we need to be able to form reads on people.
Erika’s the player I’m forgetting. They’re the kind of player I feel like I can read well when they’re active and not at all when they aren’t.
