MHA Mafia Game Thread - Game Over

Key, outside of not shooting N1 (which I know is a mistake and I really regret it), what else would you have done differently had you been on my shoes? I’m interested to see what your thoughts are if you looked through the game and all.

it’s hard to criticize you when you won the game and didn’t really make any mistakes

I think you did fine

I’m very tired so I’m going to go to bed. However the reason I’m asking about these posts is that each post had a distinct reason for them being one alignment over the other, and it’s all in the post. You just got to think about why they are acting that way, and what they are trying to say. You should try that in the next mafia game you are in-try analyzing other people’s posts like that until you fail or succeed.

This feels like the poster is a town aggressively trying to get more people to contribute.

yeah your right

You don’t even need to do it out loud, you can do it in your head or write it down. Lot of what I think I don’t say out loud because I don’t feel like writing those big types of arguments, however I certainly think over the arguments in my head.

Probably won’t be in one until late December if people listen to the co-host.

Try spectating the next game and doing it in a specstor chat or something to prove that you are legitimately trying to improve. (Spoiler free specstors chat of course, it doesn’t make since otherwises)

If you try that in specstors chat and people think you are really trying I’m sure people will let you in another game way sooner

or I do make posts like GKB is confirmed scum because scum tinfoil because I don’t feel like explaining how that comes from a scum mindset

“policy lynch”

Policy lynches aren’t arbitrary, they’re policy. I thought ostensibly it was because you thought lynching miller claims is >rand to flip scum, whereas I’m saying there is no reason to believe that at all in this situation, no reason to push it, no reason to even say it because there’s no reason at all for it to be true here. So why have the policy at all?

Tbh the role interactions were a bit over my head, I barely read the flips and definitely haven’t read everyone’s role PMs - I guess I was surprised you were SK with how townsided you were playing and I’d be worried about getting killed by scum, but it worked out for you and I assume you had protection of some kind. I probably would have played far worse in your shoes :stuck_out_tongue:

Because D1 Miller claims are at least as likely to be scum as town (and even moreso with confirmed framers) and it’s generally better to policy lynch all D1 Miller claims then to let the scum who do it slip by

Eventually everyone gets the idea and problem solved

He did have a vest yes

And we knew that so we couldn’t kill him

He also had a bodyguard on him every night but the first

This is the part I don’t know why you believe, because it doesn’t matter what you think in general from the games you’ve played somewhere else. Things are different across different sites and between different players.
If I lynched every miller claim I saw on the site I originally played on I’d have a whole bunch of town blood on my hands and not a single scum lynch, which makes it a pretty bad policy to try and apply everywhere fmpov :woman_shrugging: But knowledge of the individual player should always override abstract policies in any case.

He knew you couldn’t kill him? In which case yeah going full towny while trying to get his wincon was pretty safe.

I’ve seen it once, then the scum imploded for different reasons later in the game.

But it does? lol

This game was at least half people from sites I’m extremely familiar with

Barring that I can only play to what I know :man_shrugging:
