Oh also, Andres and StarV kept saying on the day after I was lynched that I used this game to further my place in the ranked game which is ENTIRELY not the case. I had to play off of a real wanting to quit frustration to not totally fuck over my scum team in the ranked game because Elli wouldnt let me replace out. It was actually the exact opposite of what you were saying because I was trying to just bail on both of them but had so much consideration for ranked integrity that I wouldnt just quit that one even though I didnt want to play either anymore.
Uh, more looking at roles. Player drafting is a lot more subjective, and while I would not have the same draft as Elli, the only person he did draft I wouldnât have considered is Screen (not because heâs bad, but because he would not have been a threat in this playerlist and would probably be a mislynch). Chesskid I would have had a completely different draft list but his wasnât âbadâ.
Roles are tough. Town should have forced governor to claim, because its objectively anti-town, correct. As scum I always draft Venge and Vig. I never draft Gladiator as either alignment, maybe as scum for WIFOM. As scum I probably draft FV tbh. The investigatives are pretty worthless in this setup when you donât do the massclaim day 1 strat (probably optimal? dunno, havenât thought deeply about it). Town (should) really want the doctors imo. The rest of the roles are whathever.
Scum has a 100% chance of shooting town (bar a big brain play).
Town has a <100% chance of shooting town.
Being KP gets you town cred if you shoot reasonably and hit a town. Town cred is good for both alignments.
Being KP gets you a lot more town cred if you shoot well and hit a scum. This is enough town cred to close to create an IC, on top of a dead scum.
Being Vengeful lets you kill any player guaranteed (no day doctors! or night vigis!). This is good for both alignments. This is better for scum.
So yes, results oriented town KP sucks. And town do shoot town a fair bit. But the risk really is not worth the reward, and I think bidding on KP is the best thing you can bid on.
Why couldnât ds replace out? Game could have been so much better if he was replaced or even modkilled d1. No hate to ds but idk or care to know whatâs going between him and starv, and if a player doesnât want play, then why hold them hostage?
I donât want to comment because I think enough has been said, I agree with Erika, but more to the point⊠If you didnât want to disrupt the game, you should have just pushed to lynch me day 1. The no lynch was unproductive (and probably just made your situation worse), one of us should have died.
Iâve already expressed most of my thoughts about this game in Discord and frankly Iâm not all that willing to engage in a fight over who is to blame. Iâm sorry Hannahh for being so stubborn about you - I wish we had been able to play the game together instead of constantly against each other. Iâm almost certain we would have won had we figured out a way to play together.
I donât care why you did what you did - Iâm still a bit peeved that YOU decided it would be a good idea to tunnel ME when Iâm like one of the few people that always tries to give you a fair shake.
I think my lynch is entirely on me to be honest. I acted like an idiot. I was frankly so annoyed about being constantly SR that I did not act in the best interest of the Town.
If you read more closely, youâll notice that my shift on you happened once you started SR me and not the other way around. If you donât consistently attack my ideas about reading into roles (which was not a stupid idea even though I executed it horribly), I never flip on you.

I donât have the same drive to win forum mafia as most other players, so⊠Yeah, results are variable. The only thing I have to say about this game is that several players came into the day after the modkill with shared ideas of who to lynch (correct lynches), and they were all turned down by town (not excluding myself, I told Erika they shouldnât scumread Wisp).
This doesnât belong in the general argument but itâs important to note that players were drafted before roles and players have a non-uniform chance of being shot. I obviously think this helped me.

The stuff you said about town cred is all not necessarily true except for the âplayer who shoots scum will be regarded as ICâ.
When I did the math the percent swing on both were a tad lower than the governor and more crucially not worth bidding against town on. Because of blind auction there are certain things that itâs better to just give up on all together when you think town is going to bet past a certain amount. Iâm not saying chess or I got anywhere close to equilibria for betting strategy vs. the plus-minus ev we thought each role would give us but I basically bet a lopsided amount on what I thought the highest ev effecting role was and then medium amounts on the next best options that I thought chess would likely not bet a lopsided amount on.
