If elli didn’t pick urist, that was because he knew we thought he would. That means he was considering who we would expect him to pick. As a result if we try play mindgames of elli would pick, but would he expect us to expect him to pick that person, therefore not pick, we enter complete wifom territory. I think he probably has the advantage when playing that wifom game, so it is best not to engage in it.
That being said while I am not going to say “x is definitely scum because elli would pick him”, I could say “nanook andres and ds are probably not all town” because they are some of the best scum players on the site.
You think the Scum Team is a whole lot smarter than the Town Team? How would you know, if all you’ve seen is one player try and gladiate another, and a wayward Vig shot? Even if those two people are Town, that still leaves 9 people.
Also, you’re reading the wrong player because I literally never, not once, speculated that Elli would pick a random new player for his Scum Team. Please tell me where I said any of that.
And what makes you think that I actually care whether you interact with me or not? I laid out an expectation for a Town player who’s never played with me before. That’s it.
Act as you will, but you’re still my senpai for this game Dusky <3. Scummy plays are kinda hard for me to read with so many new people, and I wish Hannah could be my senpai but she’s eternally absent. To move forward, I agree we should make few assumptions about who picked who, but there’s kinda no other information to go around (having an info only night 0 with no kills would have been SWELL). Live or die, I kind of have to act in a way that gets me information, even only in morsels. Night powers in this game seem mostly standard, but that universal backup thing is new to me and I do wonder how it impacts the earliest stages of this game.
I then realised that means that if he is confident enough in his starv read to no lynch here I should also. Ds and starv are both never lynches for me now, and I will accept them to be my masons. @StarV@DS accept my pocket attempt please
Unless Scum have a Day ability that’s not listed, how do you pretend that they knew what Urist’s role was? It would have been a ridiculous shot in the dark to try and get a role at random.
I think the scum team is a whole lot smarter than me. And a supposed town gladiate wasn’t super smart. I would think that means the two doofs drastically lower the town’s average, and I haven’t seen anything to make me think the scum’s intelligence has been compromised. Entirely possible that there’s a smarty towny out there waiting, but I don’t seem them now… which is maybe good on them? idk.
I think your questioning about the the universal backup is towny tbh, and I am not interested in lynching you rn. Honestly just keep trying your best and ask any questions you aren’t sure of. This game has a lot of very good mafia players, much better than me so I am probably not the person to choose as “senpai”, but yeah if you just try your best to solve in your own way hopefully we can identify your alignment as we go, because purity can usually shine through
I’m down with Dusk scum. I can’t believe the whole “Elli didn’t bid on Urist after publicly stating he thought Urist was the best player onsite! There was no way to anticipate this and we can never figure out what he was thinking!” thing. Especially when he called Urist good because he’s lowkey, and he wouldn’t be able to stay under the radar after that public statement and ongoing meme with Elli as scum manager. Like I can see why he could also be scum, but Elli is not completely unpredictable and the way Dusk has taken this feels super fake.
@Nanook didn’t your special moment early on where you tried to make Urist guess [what you were thinking] make you think Urist was town?
