He has no reason to argue with letting Elli stay around for a dayphase and him doing so would be a huge red flag to me.
Even if he says he thinks Elli is scum, thereās no negative to it to offset the big potential positive. Thereās not really a way he can argue against it without looking like scum who doesnāt want Elli to stick around after death, since thatās the only reason he would ever reject it.

I think the thing most in favour of him being scum is him saying heās busy and the reasons he gave, because it wouldnāt be the first time heās told an outright lie as scum and counted on me second guessing myself into not calling it out lol
