made me queazy that you had extra knowledge that we werenā€™t (and was literally the only time I questioned if it was possible it was you/Andres), but I handwaved that away that you were using weird logic.

Itā€™s equally dumb for dan to do this as both town and scum, but if heā€™s town and doesnā€™t know andresā€™s alignment the risk of him getting burned by a scumAndres makes it a much riskier play as town. Meaning itā€™s more likely for Dan to judge the risk vs. reward ratio as favourable if he is scum.

tl;dr itā€™s way more likely for dan to do this as scum.

I do kinda agree with this, though. I wanted to lynch Andres before the mason claim on d2 or d3 or whenever it was, because he was being scummy. And the fact that he went along with the mason bs without clarifying it doesnā€™t bode well for him. Especially since he shouldā€™ve noticed that it doesnā€™t imply anywhere in his role PM that he is a mason or knows Danā€™s alignment. That definitely would have been the first thing I checked in his position.

In other words, I feel like Danā€™s play can more easily be attributed to scum. However, I can sorta see the town motivation for doing it, if Dan is arrogant enough.

I find it harder to believe that Andres went along with all this unquestioningly as town than for Dan to lie about his role as town.

So why Did the GM send a Message clarifying that they were not Masons?
Because Andre was the one that did not Know!

The only reason for the message was because of Andre not knowing.
ActionDan already knew and is not even now admitting that he is a Liar. whether town or scum.

One of the scum roles has protection, and thereā€™s a lot of town protection. His role fit the bill of a niche role that served both purposes + I never saw him as towny. And I was specifically irked by his play the last day he was alive.
