And mantis
I think it was just a half jokey half reflect joke to my Kill Me statement.
Someone mentioned that scum might not have a board? I mean a open all hours type board?
I’ve never played a fferyltt game where scum did not have a 24/7 boards.
I have played a lot of feryllt games and at the end of the game she posts the scum board link and it is always there and 24/7.
It is why I get pissed off with town players that keep saying, I don’t want to tell you cause then scum will know.
Scum have a board where they can talk together and figure things out. far more often than not, the players you are keeping in the dark are you fellow town players.
It is the whole point of the game that so many players seem to miss.
Scum know who scum is Town don’t know who town is.
End Rant.
It is why I will lynch lurkers even knowng they may well be lazy, useless town.
Ambivilant about Metal.
She/he often does not engage in the game in a way I understand.
Does not make them scum. So neutral read for now I think.
I think my last read was leaning more scummy, but asking for more posts.
So?
@Nanook the reason I think Josh has a decent chance of being scum has a lot to do with the wavelength he seems to be riding. By that, I mean that he seems to not be on the same page as anybody else in the game. To me, he looks like scum who is either deliberately trying to not blend in, or trying to look like town with an excuse to tunnel on one or two players the whole game.
Take his read on me, for example. He has spent the entire 10 days coasting on his scum read of me. He focuses on easy stuff, like the mason/miller thing around #850, makes a comment, then disappears. 90% of his stuff is either non-game-related or commenting on things not dependent on the context of the game (like the idea that we should PL the miller claim, the fact that daytalk is a thing, etc). He refused to explain any of his reads until he was pressured into doing so by Mantis and myself; once he was put under pressure he started contributing a bit more, but that was short-lived. It seems like once the pressure was taken away, so was any motivation for him to contribute to the game. He’s doing the bare minimum to coast through the game, and that’s scummy. Right now he just posted a list of 3 scum reads, but he’s voting muffins, probably because he doesn’t know whether he should commit to catspurr or to MS.
I’m also a bit paranoid over why there hasn’t been a wagon on him, and why people seem to be reluctant to discuss him. A wagon was built on AD when he was lurking and trying to look busy. People (Andres, Judge, probably more) are now talking about lynching MS for a lack of contribution. I really don’t get why Josh hasn’t been run up despite a similar level of substance. It makes it seem like the people voting for lurkers have an ulterior reason for not suggesting him as a potential lynch.
VOTE: Josh
I’ve pretty much convinced myself by writing this that this is the direction I want to go for today.
And fwiw, Judge using Josh’s suspicion of MS as a town tell (“Josh is scum cuz he’s going after an easy target”) is a big red flag. If Josh flips scum, Judge should be lynched with extreme prejudice.
Have you played with Josh before? Why do you think he’s a strong player?
I already vote judgemental with prejudice every game, so lynching him with extreme prejudice is something I can certainly hop on
That…actually makes some amount of sense? Hmm. I’d still rather lynch Cats, but I could probably live with Josh as a secondary wagon.
Well the thing is we would have to lynch Josh first
i clarified why I saw MS’s inclusion on Josh’s ‘could lynch here’ list struck me as towny. But w/ever. To assert that I’ve scum slipped (with your assumption Josh flips scum) over the merits of wanting an MS lynch is lame
eh, I said “anything of substance” not lack of contribution. I am not going to enter some protracted discussion on the difference between the two things, but for me there definitely is.
@Urist Q: do you have a history of antagonism with Josh?
To answer your question: I’ve not played with Josh before. However… the reverence I’m detecting towards him (not from you obvs) from some players indicates he is a strong player. His comment toward Mantis dripped with arrogance. I’ve played a half dozen or so games at this site and there is a definite pecking order that shows itself. I could be wrong.
do muffins have muscles? Cos he is the strongest
I don’t know! I’ll take that on board, though
Yes, I read your clarification.
I think that everyone in this game has included an easy target on their “would lynch” list. Unless you think that only weak players can be scum, your argument doesn’t make a lot of sense.
Plus, it’s not as if he’s actively pursuing the lynch of an easy target. The lynch he’s actually pursuing is my own. This is one of the reasons for why I think he’s scum: because he’s tunneling on a ‘difficult lynch’ in an attempt to look genuine or contrarian or whatever.
This is my first game with Josh btw.
Ah, thanks for letting me know. Josh has been a total asshole this game.
@whoever gave me a bauble-y thing N0: thanks, if fits nicely
Is Eddie bragging in scum chat?
literal lmao
oh, fuck yourself
you arent a difficult lynch and I’m not tunnelling on you.
