It’s a lot to read through and we don’t have convenient ISO tools (we can ISO, it’s just a hassle to do it). No judgments at all if you don’t want to bother.
Also of note is that I do play town differently there than I do here, due to the format and differing meta styles, so it follows that I’ll probably play scum differently here whenever I draw it, but that’s still a pretty decent basic example of how I like to play scum.
After reading some theory, it looks like you have played the role optimally, so I’m not going to question this too much. If anyone has a counter claim this is where they would step forward right? Otherwise we should treat you as named Townie? Does that mean that we should expect to see you NK’ed N1? Lots of questions, I know.
@Nanook, I’ll take a look at the game you sent. I always read some of the games on the site even if I’m not playing, just so I don’t run into any surprises when it comes to style.
@AKFD I don’t think Srceenplay denied that he was Town, but rather was making the point that _ffery perhaps at that stage couldn’t know?
@ActionDan, did you miss the sentence that followed right after what you quoted? I don’t know yet whether Cats is Town or not. Volume can only be part of why anybody is viewed any particular way, though it seems like it is slightly predictive of Cats’ alignment. Some people are clearly better at hiding their alignment than others, so I just don’t know yet.
I didn’t miss it, but it looked like the first part was a clear judgement while the second was more of a throwaway (“I think you’re town, unless you’re not”).
I think you’re reading too much into it - Cats is worried about my alignment because I was able to successfully appear as Town when playing Scum last game we played together. I was making a comforting remark in that I was hoping that my play would over time clarify it’s not the case here. Unless Cats is Scum that is, in which case my comforting remark does not do anything because Cats already knows my alignment. It certainly wasn’t a throw-away remark. I do respect the skepticism though, but it wasn’t meant as seriously as you are interpreting it.
And why are you answering for Parsec? You should let him tackle the questions I posed, and decide whether some of them are worth answering or not. As I stated, I don’t play many games with a lot of roles, so I haven’t encountered a Miller role. It’s not out of the question that Scum would fakeclaim Miller, from what I read, but in my head it seems unlikely that’s what we’re getting here.
UNVOTE: ActionDan
I’m starting to get worried about the wagon building on Urist - do you have any thoughts on that?
