How does Josh’s thinking look like town? Honestly, the only way you could read ffery locking the thread as being indicative of UristTown is if you’re scum who already knows that the scumchat is not using QT.
And anyway, what does ffery locking the thread confirm, exactly? I don’t have access to any QTs sooo.
It doesn’t confirm anything, and I don’t really feel like thinking about it more. But it seemed like Josh had some sort of thought as to why that would be the case. Not sure what. But I don’t really see it useful to point out … or rather, give out a town read for it, as scum.
I just realized as I was typing that you’re more against this thought because you’re still probably anti Josh heh
Josh is obvscum, I’m just waiting til he kills us all so that I can tell you all ‘I Told You So’ all smarmyly.
meh. We’ll see
Hello, ffery? I know my role says I’m a one-shot vig, but am I a town vig or a scum vig?
And actually he softclaimed Vig when he said that he wouldn’t mind a nolynch for ~reasons~. I just wonder if scum picked up on that, or if they killed him just for being him.
I actually do want to hear about why you think this Josh.
i didn’t notice any soft claim
i realised why they might ask the question of the GM
Yeah I get what you mean, I’m mostly just musing.
I assumed this was supposed to be a vig softclaim. Not super soft tho.
Judge I owe your posts a thorough readthrough but I’m so tired and having trouble focusing. I know you don’t give a shit about my vote on you, but it would help me if you could reiterate or quote or link to a post where you explain your reasons for finding Cabd scummy. I can’t seem to find them in your ISO.
Nanook’s defense of AD was scummy, it looked like he was defending a scumbuddy with the crap reason of “this lynch won’t give us any info!”
AD was independently a meh to mildly scummy slot.
I also think that all of the people on that AD wagon when it hit its peak (Srceen, cats, Andres, me) are town, and maybe that’s why it ran out of steam, because scum didn’t wanna hop on.
(Note: this also applies to the Josh wagon of me, MS, Andres, Cabd [although Cabd is up in the air]).
I don’t see in Judge’s ISO why she had a scum read on Cabd, and she was 4th on the Cabd wagon so it kinda looks like her suspicions materialized out of nowhere.
I’m trying to catch up I’ll respond soon. I also have to do some homework apparently.
mm I meant by ‘not giving a shit’ that won’t invest much effort in trying to plead my case, rather I prefer to go after who I think scum is.
I’m not going to ISO my own posts to find post numbers of where I said/did what. Skitter’s WoT’s I…skimmed … and thought they seemed towny. No one seemed bothered by them. So I had a town read on that slot at the point I joined the game. Josh called CABD out for their vote on Josh (for the MS vote) and I reconsidered them on the basis that at the point Josh called out MS prior to his vote there, it looked towny and from my pov a perfect spot to see MS as scummy.
CABD’s vote ended up iirc being a drive-by and when I asked about skitter I think it was Josh who said skitter had not posted anything AI. So with the weird vote…could well be scum.
fast forward to today. Nanook’s flip casts shade on CABD as nanook was there to end of day trying to get everyone to vote his way. Flipping CABD will provide info on the voting around the two wagons yesterday.
not my vote on CABD
Cabd has been prodded.
This is a good post Judge.
It is leaning me more toward town for you and less town for cabd.
I think my vote will be on cabd.
But don’t want to run the vote count up to high at this point.
Although I don’t think there are that many vote on them is there?
Everyone keeps saying that they will vote him but I don’t think that many has.
Okay.
VOTE:CABD
Okay, not sure how many votes have been made since this post.
For context, at this point, Nanook was already trying to push his vague meta read of Cats as Scum (#51). Also, Nanook had already made his comments about Srceenplay slipping because he had looked for an “excuse” to change his vote (#149).
So, had Nanook known that Cats was Scum, I am inclined to think that this response makes sense. Why would he lump the both of them together otherwise? If I’m Scum, and I know that a Town player is claiming a clear on a Scum player, then I have immediate certainty that the Town player is lying. So, there would be some expectation that at some point in the future, a player might figure out that Cats is Scum and realize that Srceen’s clear is wrong. To cover for this eventuality, you would lump the Town player together with the Scum player to put yourself in a position to push for a mislynch.
This is one possible explanation. The thing is, this can also make sense if Srceenplay, you are Scum and Cats is Town. In this case, Nanook would have certainty that you are telling the truth about Cats’ alignment. To prepare for the eventuality that Cats is mislynched and flipped (which he was pushing for hard), he then lumps you with Cats to “clear you” for the rest of the game (as you would have been “telling the truth”). This strategy obviously would only have worked if you would have stuck with the Claim (or made it more convincing).
It is also possible that this response makes some sense if the both of you (Cats, Srceen) are Town. Because then, by saying that he’ll wait for a CC, he’s partially minimizing the Claim itself, which goes against what he’s been arguing the whole game and makes him look like Scum (which he is).
Explanation #2 does not cover this post well though:
He would be more inclined to believe the clear if it helped the Scum Team in the long run, but here he’s minimizing it until there’s a CC. So #2 probably doesn’t work. Nanook then also says this:
This also does not make sense close after the Claim if he’s trying to position you as Town for the long run. The fact that you basically kept talking about the Claim and made it obvious that it was false also don’t help Explanation #2. You would have probably maintained it had you been Scum, or been more vague about it.
So, if you are just looking at this series of posts, Srceenplay is probably Town, and Cats might be Scum. Thoughts?
