It is always the time and place to steer society towards a path of equality, and recognizing past behaviors or phrases that hurt this goal is part of the process.

If trying to be better doesn’t permeate every aspect of our lives, even a low stakes mafia game, then pockets of where racism can exist will still always exist.

Sometimes people don’t want to be bashed over the head with “Don’t be rasict you little fucker” 24/7. I agree with what you say, but I don’t agree that we should make it our sole goal to talk about it to the point where it prohibits us from doing everything else. If we always worry about a flood, then we will forget about the other natural disasters.

steering towards equality and away from racism are two separate things that both need to be done.

I’m forgetting the exact quote, but peace is not the absence of racism but the presence of justice. Generally I dislike blanket words like peace and justice since they can be sprinkled on anything to make it look good, but I think this is one of the few times where they make sense.
