intended audience is people fairly knew to mafia but I’m still not sure what 5 solid tips or so would be.

town players are exceptionally good on this site
scum players are also probably average or slightly below par, and even average isnt enough for the town proficiency

dont even look at your role pm bro just scum hunt and find all your partners
most sites have 1-3+ slots in the game that are lurkers or otherwise useless. the people that get prodded often, flake, barely try, etc. this helps scum a lot regardless of what alignment they roll. this site has close to 0, and our minimal LHF (ie tier) is still better and actually play. if that makes sense.

agreed tho, and then you mix that into the lower overall game size and theres less spaces for scum to hide (especially in open setups)
I never thought about it that way - because from an EV perspective a lot of these smaller setups are actually a lot more scum favored than the larger ones.
