I think I might let my emotions into my game too much, but I don’t think that what I’m saying is really all that “out there.”
I like being a supportive figure in the town rather than the person getting sheeped. On the sheep-shepherd spectrum I’m on the sheep side but closer to the center.
In inhibits my ability to work through the game and to play a supportive role, when people don’t engage with me, try to win me over, and stuff like that.
I took issue with what chess/nanook are doing primarily because;
At least in a tongue-in-cheek way, they mentioned doing it in part so they wouldn’t have to engage with me–which I feel hurts my ability to play the game.
I just in general don’t think trying to sort games at this extreme level can be done with perfect accuracy, or at the very least I can’t usually follow the rationale to sort people this fast because I can’t personally sort people this fast.
@Andresvmb tbh I really don’t feel like you actually care much about my response to that though since I feel at the very least that I’ve been straightforward about my feelings and opinions on that subject (which at this point is really overdone tbh). That really just feels like something you wanted to shade me with.
Right now I’m not overly focused on finding certain Scum Reads. Mostly, I’m trying to clear people. My “shading” is me questioning your logic to try and get a feel for alignment. If I can’t get a conclusively good answer (or something that makes me go “yeah, that’s Town”), then I will either continue to push you or potentially drop it for something else.
Hey, I agree with you here. I don’t think I could find 6 TR’s this early even if I tried really hard and had a good handle on everyone’s meta. I don’t. But I am fine with the status of the game, which is being driven by one player I have a high level of confidence is Town, and a strong TR from that player.
I’ll lay out what will change my mind about the direction of the game: Erika or StarV flipping Town. Then, I’ll be forced to do some deep homework. In the mean time, I’m fine with letting the game shrink in size.
I’m not sure about your alignment. I’m not. I don’t think you’ve made yourself obvious, and your stated intention to not drive a push doesn’t help me with that. Tn’s aggressive push against Nanook and Chess is one of two things from my POV - Scum, or misguided Town.
I think Chess is Town, and Nanook then follows as Town. I independently read Engravings as Town, and don’t actually have a lot of confidence in Cavin’s alignment. I wouldn’t be terribly surprised if it flipped Scum (the open attempt to shade but avoid confrontation is not something I will typically TR). I’m SR StarV because he’s not posting cheerfully or trying to form a Town block or direct traffic or anything. And Erika seems to be coasting. That’s as much as I’ve been able to gather.
I personally think Tn’s trust list and reasoning looks pure. He was able to expound upon them with little issues and he seemed pretty adamant about them.
I assume it’s by virtue of Star’s game being extremely meh, but based on what Tn has done and has been saying I don’t think Star is anywhere close to being his lynch choice for today.
Can anyone provide me with a metaread on how this player plays as scum? I don’t think a townie would contentlessly actively fluff this much. Nearly all of this information is rehashed from earlier and it really doesn’t mean anything in the context of the game other than providing excuses for low content/inability to engage with the game. The writer is blaming this on two other players.
