I’m reasonably sure he isn’t a complete beginner, he seems to know the terminology. I’d expect a seasoned VT to be excited to engage in the d1 hunt, especially if they signed up for a setup that was likely to be mountainous. He’s actively not really doing anything except for fixating on you, and he was a bit touchy when I asked him a question.
