actually i remember a town game with dusk where he was just like this

fuck

I’m not doing a super deep dive because I kinda hate rereading games but I have to say…at a skim, duskfall here looks fairly similar to duskfalk in Be Yourself Mafia. I haven’t seen scumDusk though so I dunno what that looks like. So I’m back to waffling.

The biggest thing that rings similar to me is him pushing me as partners for defending josh and in be yourself pushing me as partners with M2 for defending him.

Honestly, the game needs to shrink and GTacc is all the way up there as a SR. So I’m fine with that lynch. I don’t SR Nanook and I do agree with him that there’s very little chance he’s Partners with Josh. If his read is wrong however, the consequences for future games are pretty obvious. And if he’s Scum (and doing a good job), then he’s hard protecting Town in my mind. So yeah, I am willing to wait for now.

Also, somebody made the point already but if we really believe that Josh is Town, then the person that makes sense to lynch is not on the DS wagon. Because if it was T/T, there really is no need for Scum to have done anything or moved.

sigh

Obvious caveat of it being dangerous to apply what you would do to other people, but personally when I’m scum I love exactly that sort of end day, cause you can push the kill onto a townie and get exactly these sort of “why would scum do that tho” reads.

And I know there are at least some other people that can/will do this as scum.

I am arguing what is easiest/most likely. Yeah, you can try and foment chaos and jump around and push it from one Townie to another. But that’s complicated to pull off and takes nerve. There’s not that many people I think can convincingly pull that off here. KTS could I believe. I haven’t played with him enough though.

Uh.

It’s not that complicated lol. Literally all it takes is a naked vote following josh’s.

What are you sighing about? Am I voting you? No. So stop being obnoxious.

You’re not listening are you.

I’m listening, you’re just wrong :woman_shrugging:

Yeah tn and gtacc as scum, don’t save Josh town on some next level “people will think om town for saving josh” idt? Unless they are trying to pocket Josh specifically really hard which I doubt

Actually, if Scum didn’t think that the DS lynch was going to succeed, and wanted to get off Josh, that might have also spurred movement.

I don’t really care to figure out why anyone did what here anyway. I’m voting who I think is Scum.

And you know this how?

Tbh I’m pretty much at the point with dusk of either he’s scum or he’s town that should be ignored :woman_shrugging:

Pretty close to just farming out that read too cause idk but I feel like he might just be someone I don’t read great.

Why would a wolf vote if the wagons are TvT? Ranked in order of strength.

  1. If you think DS is less lynchable than Josh, voting DS when the wagons are that close makes sense. Its an opportunity to kill him with little backlash, pushing all the blame on Josh. Seize the moment.
1.a; if you think DS is a bigger threat than Josh in this specific game, killing him over Josh also makes sense.
  2. Similar with 1; saves Josh for a later lynch in a game with a lot of townie people.
  3. If GTacc is wolf, saves the wagon from spinning back to GTacc via Josh self-pres vote. Keep in mind GTacc at this point is the dueling wagon, and the wagons would have been tied or GTacc would have got majority. Safer to make the lynch between Josh and DS than Josh and GTacc.
  4. KTS voted about 10 seconds before deadline. Right up until deadline Josh was still getting lynched. This means wolf!StarV or wolf!GTacc has ammo for a later DS push later. wolf!KTS gets town cred for saving me, town!KTS throws a wrench in scum’s plan to let me die while splitting the wagons. wolf!StarV or wolf!GTacc gets extra town cred for trying to save Josh who they can cite as obv!town later on.
  5. Creates chaos. Its always better for wolves to have more wagons on town than less.
  6. Not knowing what the wagons were at. It was super busy at EoD, wolves may not have known where wagons would fall and/or where the wagons currently were. For example, tn is currently claiming he didn’t know DS was the wagon in that last 2 minutes, etc. They might not have been aware of the scenario and thought the lynch could fall on one of them.
  7. WIFOM. Literally a valid answer. Happens. Especially in a game like this where there’s no real consensus scum read. This is the only answer StarV/Andres seem to think of? But its still valid, albeit less likely than the previous.

There are lots of reasons why wolves do things, and “WIFOM” is not the only answer. I wrote this in one sitting after seeing Andres agree with StarV, I’m sure there’s more I could think of. Don’t ask stupid questions. Seriously @Andresvmb I am really disappointed my friend.

I don’t CARE if you’re voting me. I want you to sort me as town, and get your head out of your ass. I am not waiting til night 2 or night 3 when wolves kill Nanook for you to mislynch me later on, and I am not going to have as much time as I do now later in the game.

Literally all scum had to do was put a naked vote down after josh’s.

That’s it.

No big balls, no complex play, just a naked vote and watch people talk themselves in circles.

There are also the strategic reasons that josh just laid out.

It’s honestly not that hard of a thing to do as scum regardless of the reason behind it.
