Copying people’s styles tends not to work unless you get really lucky on who you copy vibing with your natural approach. Try to just augment what you’re good at and do it super rigorously.

but anyways, despite all i joke, 95%~ of my reads are tone/gut. this doesn’t work for most people, though try your mileage with it. basically just read with my feels, and then on site like ms and well smogon i invent in thread reasons to go with it.

meta is 4.5% of the 5 % that arent gut/tone, and is a factor in those reads. in explanation, i “soul read” players ive played with before much better (or at least much more confidently), i download players ive played with 2+ times.

Yea. I dunno. It just clicks for me. Doesn’t work for every player - ie, haven’t downloaded DS or a player named Apricity that smogoners will know yet though I’ve improved at least I think.
