I was going that route because you were talking youtube hosting, using an external website for audio would have pretty much the same process

I guess hitting youtube app button vs. going to whatever browser and going to a link seemed to be significantly less work.

the recording option is only in threads where it is verified to be in the thread
meaning it is not in every thread

whats wrong with letting people record everywhere if we implement that.
itā€™s sorta like how we have the votecount button everywhere.
