Like it’s why Youbutworse’s gambit might just be so effective. Openly saying “it’s not me!” (and that’s basically what I interpret they did close to the end of the Day) basically means you have to be TR’ed, or the Town might just turn against you later. And you’re expecting the Specialist to be outted at some point, so it really just boils down to you pursuing a difficult strategy that if you’re not natural, will not work. It’s bold. Or, it could have been done in a moment of madness, without a thought. I just wouldn’t have done that myself, and that’s why I think it’s more likely VT.
That and well, I think Martin is Town, frankly. It doesn’t leave much from my POV. I could totally be wrong, I admit. It’s why we absolutely need discussion today.
Another great way to play Vanilla in this setup and I should have tried this I don’t know why I didn’t, is to openly say “I’m not Specialist”, vote, and not say anything else D1 whatsoever. It’s too brazen for Killer.
So you just leave people confused as to whether you’re doing it not to get shot, are actually the Specialist, or not. Meh. At least I would have liked to have seen the reaction.
Yeah this is true. I’ll admit.
I mean I’m like almost sure Martin is Town. I would execute Spak into Youbutworse not to validate the gambit, provided Luft is blocked and a shot occurs.
I am, however, going to follow the leader as they say.
So whatever Golden Girl actually settles on, I may be more inclined to follow. Only because she was right and I was wrong about Erika.
A killer would try to read other killers correctly, especially if they can’t kill yet. Else, they very well may get killed before even being able to do anything. This is in no way clearing Martin.
This is making me think YBW may actually be towny for not scumhunting in this specific setup… simply because as killer, you’d REALLY want to scumhunt and couldn’t expect to get carried by townies like you could do as town.
I think it’s much easier to try and avoid getting shot, than it is to correctly solve the game and be left as the last person standing by helping reduce the pool yourself.
Like towards the beginning, I actually don’t think Killers have a massive incentive to be right. I think they have a massive incentive to look Towny, be wrong, and not get shot.
You want mis-executions of Town, shots from other Killers away from you hunting the Specialist. And if I’m the third Killer, priority No. 1 is getting the Specialist, not other Killers.
You bring a good point about YBW’s inactivity, probably better than mine, tbh. And by the way, I’d execute him over you any day of the week, because I still have the feeling you tried to actually help throughout the game.
Like given the risk of being outted before you can even shoot your competition, the Killers are going for the Specialist first and foremost. So no, I don’t agree that Killers are hunting for each other. Not D1. After Golden Girl outs a Killer, and outs herself? Yeah, sure.
Yes, that’s basically what Spak was saying, and he’s probably right.
Speaking of which, that kinda clears you lol, given that you’ve been the main scum-hunter this game with elaborated and seemingly genuine reasonings.
I mean look at this.
This is exactly what I expect Killer to do D1.
Okay yeah maybe we want to kill Youbutworse hahaha
Phone is the first shooter. So Phone doesn’t have to try and make it obvious that they’re not Specialist. They’re simply not going to shoot themselves.
But the other two do actually have to. Now, I don’t know if anybody bought that the order that was voted on was the legitimate order, but the Killers would have figured that out quickly depending on when they’re told when they’re going to shoot.
Okay I’m pretty sure we need to execute Youbutworse. I don’t see a choice. Spak maybe unintentionally let it slip that they weren’t Specialist, but Phone could have easily missed it. It was really hard to miss Erika’s oops, or YBW’s blatant admission there at the end.
