Triple Tickle Game Thread (Day 4)

Hey all. I actually don’t know anybody in this game outside of Erika which is bizarre. I’ve been around this forum for a while but haven’t played a game here in some time.

Anyway I’ll read through later today when I have some time and plop a vote down.

Actually I hadn’t even bothered to read the setup but I just did - so this isn’t even Mafia really. We have to take guesses as to who the killer is, and try and get to them before they get to us. But without any coordination happening, and the Killers having some incentive to nuke each other, how exactly are we supposed to do that?

Luftwaffle is a Town Read in an impossible game.

They had the same gut reaction I had to someone openly asking how the Specialist should use their role. Which is to shut that down - the Specialist’s job is to gather information and survive.

VOTE: Phone

That’s a placeholder until I can read more carefully. I’ll be back later.

Question - Do you personally believe its anti-town to help the specialist with what their actions SHOULD be?

The specialist isn’t going to reveal themselves. It’s an open debate on what is mechanically “correct”. I think that’s a fine way to do things.

Mechanically, I believe the BEST move would be a roleblock on whichever killer comes first in priority - it would give the other killers incentive to try and bus them so they can attack, and it should give some very telling interactions.

The WORST move is a Heart Rate check - Learning about an inactive killer is “cool”, but all it’s going to do is give the primary killer more time to strike. Also any High checks are a waste of a night which is Very -EV

I do - for the simple reason that people tend to reveal too much, even when they’re trying not to. The risk is too high in my mind.

Hm… I’m fine with taking risks to make town’s wincon easier, but that might just be my playstyle

Do you think it’s 100% alignment indicative that someone agreed with you mechanically?

Look I think any half decent player can make some decisions regarding their role that don’t require crowdsourcing, and still leave the game in a decent place.

Not necessarily, no. I just think a Killer would be somewhat more inclined to discuss the Specialist to see if anybody let’s it slip that it’s them.

That’s a better way to put it, although I believe its not too strong of a point.

Any reason for voting Phone?

This shows that they’re thinking quite carefully about who the Specialist is. Which means they’re probably a Killer. I might even say the same thing for you, Golden Girl.

So you guys should shoot each other and see who survives. Sounds like fun.

Now if I was a Killer, I would be looking carefully for clues about who else is out there. Because well, you can get trumped by another Killer in the end. Just sayin’.

Hmmmm

Are you basing your reads solely off of who’s hunting for Specialist?

Because that’s a bad way to play imo
