Transitioning away from using lynch - alternatives and implementation

we’re talking about the words guillotine and lynch here you might wanna rethink that

Yeah see, you get my point

Chess is really insensitive for a guy preaching about sensitivity

I’m pointing out that you are being culturally insensitive with your own logic applied to the lynch conversation

I’m probably moving most of this topic to a separate topic when I wake up tomorrow since I want this one focused on implementation…

One was a tool of liberation that went haywire and resulted in a cultural shakeup of a country and overall improvements.

One specifically oppressed a race

chess stop please

Like yeah sure don’t use guillotine but don’t equate them

Tbh title says “what should we call it” not “how should we implement it”

Contextual censorship

fixed that

Two ways to murder people oppressed by the country they lived in

This is some big pic energy

I would prefer jettison myself

What about impeach

Technically victims of the guillotine were also lynched (and it’s actually a more literal use of the term).

You guys are complaining about some people giving overmeaning to the word but you guys are also giving overmeaning to the autoreplacement and calling it censorship, and your free thoughts about game and tonereads will not be suppressed by just changing 1 word that no one will use except for newbies who have no idea that the word had a connotation to rasicm

honestly who fucking cares if it will replace to something equal to you and better for some others? Even though we are not 100% sure about they will actually play mafia isnt it just better if we change it? No downsides unless you think this will make elli a fucking dictator and ban all bad words and replace it with tarnation which is a ??? thing to think about but if it comes to that point protest when its down the slippery slope, not now

Who’s saying this?

Elli is a dictator of this site, right? He’s like the owner?

The only difference is that we can choose to leave whenever we want.
