I think there’s convincing whereby you can make a good case and convincing where you use authoritative terms.
Anecdote time.
There was a time before the world went nuts in 2016. A young startup company called Cambridge Analytica emerged. It promised to analyze the contents of social media to the specifications of its clients.
One of its proof of concept services was its ability to be fed a body of text(s) and be made to describe the demographics, such as cultural background (although it used gross terms like race it really meant culture), religion, education, gender and so on of the author. I put through a bunch of texts-usually Op-eds written by politicans to see what it made of it. They were generally accurate although apparently Obama was a college-educated american white liberal woman. Trump for instance was “hyper masculine” and authoritative because he spoke simply and in certain, aggressive terms.

I started using this tool in Mafia to see if I could detect deception by a stylistic shift and the result was… Incomplete. I never completed my work because I remembered being disgusted with CA when their involvement in '16 was revealed. The tool is definitely offline now although there could be a copycat around somewhere. What I did learn was to be more vigilant of tell-tale signs such as aggression, narrative building, etc. I think this can be well understood by the terms I use when I play mafia (and this even goes beyond mafia really).
