If you are under threat of being lynched I can claim that my one shot role is cop and that I investigated you and got an innocent return, making you a town or godfather.
If you are still lynched, the flip is not making things clear for town so Shrug.

Just say you only had three inventions, and didn’t give one out night one because you could NOT be sure you weren’t giving it to a scum.
Now, night two you are sure Erica and Alisae are town so gave a cop power to one of them.
We can work out the other inventions as we go along.
If you give out the inventon it does not necessariy mean you have to claim.
There would be a good chance who you give the cop power to will keep quite unless you are likely to be lynched.
They won’t be able to use it till night three so will not want to advertise it.
