I agree the former is bad and I’ve only skimmed this topic but I’ll talk to chess or anyone else that I thought went over the line, and I’ll apologize to whoever if I did.
I don’t think we’ll agree on the replacement/flaker policy. It is explicitly an indicator that players who habitually replace out are less welcome. There are plenty of places more lenient with replacements and I have no problem with directing people to them.
Does this lower the pool of potential members by a lot? Yes it does. That’s a decision we’re knowingly making.
I’m glad you’re bringing this stuff up btw and I hope you don’t feel attacked.
I get that we disagree on policy and you’re going to leave because of that - I have nothing against you and appreciate that you’re airing your grievances instead of just leaving without saying anything.
I take an even more extreme view than chess - I think people who were posting a couple of times a game day are already fine.
I understand if particular individuals (like chess) want people more engaged in general and dislike when people are below a certain line of engagement but I don’t want use (as a community/site) to have anything against people who enjoy playing in a lower engagement way. We just need better ways to make sure people “okay” with things in game but I’m making the topic on that now.
I stand by this. I can’t wrap my head around ellli thinking him getting lynched after wolfclaiming would lead to josh’s. Especially when you normally just say lynch x after me.
