Unfortunately we didn’t know what roles were in the game, otherwise ZZ would have performed the kill and you would have died for sure.
Uh, did Josh actually conserve his role when we took him? If so, I imagine scum is going to win because no one will expect scum gladiator.
Dude what it’s a yak role and alignment are completely separate for a yakked person I dont get it everyones lost their minds
Andres post in the thread though.
Yeah, I think people are really not familiar with Yakuza as a role and don’t know how to handle it. I would assume the player moves on without their power role… Unless it’s explicitly stated otherwise.
So then they should ask in thread rather than assuming tho
True
Converted player keeps their role, just changes alignment
so obviously the conversion failed because gladiator would never be a scum role
This town is making me facepalm
the people who are “from” here make up the entire dead PT LOL.
Its cuz we are the elite of mafia players
Rich is doing well
With that said, where we play usually there about 30 people in the game, so surviving is a skill in itself
The issue is, town survival is overrated, if you’re the top scum read and you force a mislynch, you’re kind of just fucking town because you’re still the top scum read.
Presenting the right reads is more important than surviving as town. If everyone played town to win and to demonstrate that they’re town, the game would be a lot easier for town, a lot harder for scum…
Which really is how it should be, downplaying your town game to a survival level while leaving enough doubt so that your scum games are easier is just bad all around. This is also why strong town players earn a lot more respect when they’re good scum players, it’s just a lot harder.
Also, I don’t play a lot of forum mafia, I need to make a lot of adjustments to my play because it’s not pro-town enough (given, I was handed 2 scum games)…
The other thing is, I need to better figure out what type of posts are alignment indicative and how much that varies per person (also difficult given I have yet to live past day 1).
But yeah, offline face-to-face, I don’t have any respect for players who don’t show up as town just so that they can be “good” at scum, I usually just push for day 1 lynches on that style of player.
man, my self worth just took a hit.
My self worth takes a hit every waking moment.
