Scumhunter's Speed - Day 3 (Complete)

I think that if you are town here, cats and VUN would happily jump on if they were scum. They didn’t.

Same for Day 1. You were never at threat of being quicklynched, even when there was a living wagon on you. Nanook, however, had a visible wagon and shortly died in an instant. It’s very jarring.

Was that your plan all along? I certainly didn’t think of that.

So you saying that if I flip town, that Cats and VUN are not scum.

So when I flip town, are you going to push Andres? You already said a town!DS flip clears Gtacc

Fearmongering other town to lynch obvious town, making them afraid to lynch obvious scum with the “promise” that they might be at risk of dying.

If Cats and VUN are actually town here, and not scum, I would think it would be good play for them to not be afraid of repercussions, since you flipping scum would be of great benefit to them.

No, here’s the problem. If you flip scum, Cats OR VUN might be scum, depending on who didn’t vote you. You’re sending out a lot of antispew at the moment which makes it difficult to determine the correct lynch afterwards even if we manage to successfully lynch you.

If you flip town, I think it is likely Cats and VUN yeah. Which is why, flipping you is the best play for me (and Andres has mentioned this too, I believe) regardless of your alignment.

If you’re Town, I’d like your vote to be placed somewhere more productive.

You have a good point with regard to the fact that if you are town, then VUN or cats, if they are both scum, would find it bad to lynch you. This is not something I considered, since, my job is to catch and lynch scum, not to identify how to control lynches.

But, if Cats and VUN are scum, it necessitates that Andres and Gtacc are both town. I’m sure I could work with them, since, they were my top townreads Day 1. Sure, there have been some changes on Day 2, but, I think that we can work it out.

I think it is basic understanding that any town lynch happening today is really bad.

You really don’t have to remind me about the woes and troubles that would happen if you flip town. I would be pretty sorry if that happened.

In fact, I’m not completely sure you’re going to flip scum at all. I am just making a bet. And attempting to bet with favorable odds.

I do however believe that if you’re town here, then you have been playing extremely anti-town and as with the common mafia cliche, (town is better off without you).

I think I’m going to have to wait to see what @Andresvmb has to think about all this.

Do you think DS is coming off genuine here? His plan to lynch me allows him to arrive at the most favorable endgame for scum, especially with that obscene 3-scum quickhammer on Nanook Day 1. If you are town here, and I believe you are, then you would be in a significantly disadvantaged position on Day 3, where you would have to choose between DS, cats, Gtacc, and VUN.

DS is not only appealing to you directly to get me lynched, but also the other town (a minimum of which is two) on the Nanook wagon to do so, ensuring that he gains power and control over the lynch. I believe he would have done the same to you if I was the hesitant one townreading him instead of you.

What will you do?

Then how is flipping me (regardless of my alignment) a good thing for your game?

Didn’t I write it in one of the above posts?

I feel that the reward of you flipping scum is good and the risk even if you flip town is not so bad. Compared to the other players in the pool. That’s what I’m betting on.

In other words, I don’t have a fucking clue.

Gamble 2 win

I’m okay with a MS lynch

I tried talking to you, but I guess that didn’t work out. Guess I have been talking to scum after all.

This is just bad math. My argument comes from perception, and not like strict odds. Reduced to strict odds, any one person I help lynch has the exact same odds of flipping Scum. But what I’m saying is that I have a slight feeling that it’s more likely than not the case here that the whole Scum Team was on Nanook. Maybe MS makes a whole show of Nanook being flipped so suddenly as Scum, but I have a slight Town lean there, and so it makes it drastically better from my POV to lynch people that were on the wagon.

You voting MS just doesn’t sit right with me - if you SR two players here and think they could be the Team, you should 100% of the time vote the person on the wagon instead of off it. I don’t understand why you would try and force the Town to lynch the guy who out of the two made the right call instead of the guy that has more reason to be Scum, particularly given the incentives built into the game.

VOTE: DS

Well at least I know that if we lose it isn’t because of this read hahaha

Trying to catch scum from a pool of only 3 is so infuriating that expanding the pool to 4 or 5 would give me an aneurysm.

I read everything you wrote. If you’ve pocketed me or whatever the phrase is, then I think I’m fine with it in a way that I wouldn’t be if enough Town players were convinced to vote for you and you flipped Town. The only upside of you being flipped (and confirmed as Town) is that anything short of a DS lynch the next day would be outrageous (and frankly, pretty stupid). But if DS is Town and forcing the lynch onto you, and you flip Town, then he’s costing us the game right here. And I would rather take the gamble of flipping DS than flipping you and being completely outraged at the result. That’s the truth.

Like I said, I’ll vote Cats if it comes down to my life on the line

But it’s an associative read with MS so logically it doesn’t make sense to lynch Cats first
