Well, letās think through it. If you were Scum, what do you think is the better strategy here? Say your Partner is under immense pressure, and itās just the two of you. Do you immediately try to broaden the POE (by casting suspicion, defending aggressively), or do you try something different? This depends on the player, but my impression of Urist is that he can be combative as Scum and get away with it.
I also donāt think Urist would throw in the towel. I think thereās a limited group of people that would throw in the towel this early. Urist is not among them.

im not sure what Iād do to be honest. I think Iād feel forced onto the wagon and try to get deepscum somehow. I donāt really see me being able to pull anything else off. ofc yeah like you said urist might be able to get away with being a little more openscummy.
The problem with a deepscum strategy in my opinion is that itās incredibly difficult to pull off. Particularly in this set up. If we lynch Scum D1, that means that the other Scum has to get away with whatā¦ 3 or 4 consecutive mislynches?

I get it. Iām just saying - Scum have 2 Kills here. So if Town successfully clear 4 players, itās game over. No matter what the Scum does.

So with all that in mind, some players might resort to the deepScum strategy. Others might figure that better odds lay with being aggressive.
Itās also worth noting that surviving 3p Lylo is significantly more difficult than surviving 5p Lylo.
Possible to be done, but the difficulty increase is exponential.

Urist is taking a little longer than usual to town-tell.

Yes. Urist is an excellent scum player and should not be discounted in any form.

Do you have any insight into his motivations for plying suboptimally?
Yeah absolutely. Iāve failed as Scum at the very last step like multiple times. Itās always felt easier to win when you can seemingly āvibeā with other players.
