Oh yea, by the end and the flips I was pretty sure he was town. Even on tone later in the day when there was more pressure in the last few hours I was leaning probably town.
I think I am cursed as a host. I’m pretty sure scum has won every game I’ve hosted on the Syndicate. They’ve all been super close and competitive, but scum always comes out on top.
so, like, everyone go sign up for All My Circuits Mafia for a guaranteed scum win.
Ping me a link
Yea can you just link to the syndicate in general? I’ll at least check out the site.

no pressure for anyone to actually sign up, though of course i’d be thrilled to have any of you.
Thanks!
When do you expect it to start?
I might follow it even if I don’t play it.
Lol if you let observers be on the dead/spec chat I’d maybe chill there. Don’t know if you guys allow that there though.
That depends when it fills up. I wasn’t really pushing it for a while because i’ve been super busy with school stuff, but now that’s mostly done with and I’m getting kinda antsy to get it going.
I’ll let you know when it’s getting close.
We do!
LOL ALL MY CIRCUITS
how does
An open-setup game with no role-claiming or info-dumping.
work?
Softclaiming = modkill?
That’s the Syndicate standard.
You’re allowed to drop hints, “breadcrumbing” as we call it. But you’re definitely not allowed to be overt about it. JJJ and I just co-hosted a big complex game full of people from other communities (including nanook, which is how we both ended up here) where we had to modkill a player late in the game because he unintentionally crossed a line that made it impossible not to figure out his role.
But I’m also considering alternatives, because the “no claiming” rule creates a lot of gray area that leaves people guessing about what is or is not allowed. Things like soup kills or other deterrents against claims without outright banning them. The idea behind the rule is that we want the game to be driven by player interactions and in-thread analysis more than other factors.
Then play mountainous
Also RE: the 24/24 phases of my game, sorry about that. I prefer 48/24 but we have a category of games that’s designed to be quicker and looser, and that’s where this one fits in.
We’ve got a section for mountainous games. They’re my preferred style.
The “no claiming” rule predates my time there and we’ve definitely branched out from it recently. It’s still my preferred style of play, but I’m beginning to prefer less imposing ways of deterring claims.
Mountainous is just vanilla right?
I’d play that but GMs always insist on being creative somehow
“Heists” on the Syndicate are mountainous or close to it. They’re allowed a maximum of 3 non-vanilla roles, and often they have less than that. It’s my favorite game type.
Interesting.
Oh yea, and this is somehow like the seventh game in a row for me where my alignment hasn’t lost. Two draws though.
I should just retire lol.
