Hi.

So.

Scum was THIS close to giving a sigil n0 to elli in an effort to pocket him and deep wolf. While I know trying to pocket Elli has to be the dumbest thing ever, I thought I still wanted to try. The mechanics were very uhhh in favor of town discovering scum, so I thought to avoid detection it would take something crazy. Of course, turns out we didn’t need to avoid detection at all.

On night 0 proto changed his actions 20 minutes before deadline because i didn’t explain the pocketing plan well enough and then went poof so they couldn’t be changed : ( And that’s how operation pocket elli died.

I think the only good move I made this game was lying on day 1 saying I spent way more ethers than i did, which sorta gave me more than enough to play around the next days.

I think town needs town only skills to invest in. by the time scum realized holy shit we can buy a free block every night, it sorta just doomed town and we could have doomed them sooner if we’d known sooner.

I also think townies should maybe start with slightly more prio coins than scum to make up for the part where they will have less money each turn in a 1v1 of a townie’s money vs scum’s money.

like sure, the town might start with so much more money but it’s divided up and those prio coins can’t be passed around townies. scum can just get higher priority so much easier than town can.

that or the town meta for this game just needs to evolve and have townies explicitly do some actionless turns to start hording prio coins sooner.

tl;dr
-get rid of the apple/orange card, it makes identifying way too ez and the odds are tremendously in town’s favor to draw it early on when it has the most utility
-fix the priority coin wealth gap so that tracking can be a viable identifying alternative that requires more skill to use and so that town actions actually have a chance of succeeding

I don’t think the ether crest to influence marker ratio really needs to be adjusted. maybe have a rule where the scum team can’t use more than idk 60 crests in a single turn if you want, but don’t think it matters. scum will keep steadily spending ethers to be safe and town will always have a fair chance to strike later if they can find a way to coordinate.
