I imagine mafia maps to one of them and town maps to the others but it needs to be “figured out” so to speak.

I think there’s a concept for a replayable “appropriately complicated” mafia if we remove some of the sillier components.
This discussion is pointless if you don’t have any apples or oranges to contribute.
Anyway I’m particularly curious about @dunya’s selection choices given that they’re explicitly here to practice their mechanics.

Hello just checking in for day 1.
This is my second forum game.
If anyone watched arrested development, I currently feel like Job when he says “I’ve made a huge mistake”.
Really interesting to see how many votes some people purchased along with claimed ether crests. 59??? I’m assuming ether crests can be bluffed here.
Was hoping to be able to find some strategy before the game started. Upon seeing the rules, I became dismayed at my inability to even believe I could find a strategy. I received confirmation that my take on this was correct because I then proceeded to try to request actions which were impossible and had to read the rules all over again.
I have 1 forum game meta with Dunya and Nanook. Everyone else is a new player to me. I’m assuming most people have meta with eachother so it would be really helpful for me if people say the reason for any specific scumread/townread is based on meta.
One of my assumptions about the game is that we should not all publicise our actions/stats since it probably allows mafia to play perfectly but can someone confirm this is true? I mean, I don’t see anyone asking for this to be collated into some huge Google Doc for town.
Anyway I’m around for a little bit so if people want to ask questions please feel free.
Also if someone wants to explain apples and oranges to me, that would be cool.
I’d give a townread to whoever explained it and I promise not to vote them today.
