I have multiple conflicting thoughts and so I’ll just put them out there.

Assume for a minute that the check is correct (and the more I think about it, the more it feels like it’s somewhat unlikely that Jake receiving some sort of message with some content with someone’s alignment is a complete fabrication). Did the Mods create a Scum Role that gets to shoot someone during the Day? I suppose that for Doggo not to be completely suspected if they’re forced to make the shot public would be to put it up for a vote. But the whole thing just feels suboptimal and Doggo wouldn’t do it. And really? A Scum Role with a Day Vig? Why?

Yeah the whole thing is straight up bizarre. I will let others that are better at mechanics to figure it out. I have contributed as much as I can to this.

Second-most-likely is that there’s a real Amne Cop who was redirected to scum!Doggo and found him as scum

Distant third is that but Doggo was town and framed
