My current thinking is that lylo being a 1/2 vs 1/3 is fairly important for balance reasons.

I agree there should be some rating motivation for scum to live longer thatā€™s separate from the ordered list. Why I moved away from true skill is that I realized how the final ratings are calculated can make or break some strategies. Itā€™s a fairly interesting problemā€¦

Iā€™m also sympathetic to Starā€™s thinking which was probably that the game was practically lost given a d1 scum lynch probabilitically.

I think its fine. The goal of the game is to outrank people and kill scum. The people who talked about it did both.
