@ChadMD I looked at some games on MAL. I only found two games where you started in the game, the site is really not easy to navigate so I didnā€™t bother searching for more. If you have more examples on-hand, Iā€™d be more than happy to look at them.

I think Iā€™ve laid out the case for why Josh is Scum, and so Iā€™m going to focus on why I think DS is Town.

I might also work on why Chad isnā€™t the best choice here, but thereā€™s a lot of boneheaded posts from Chad that I donā€™t know whether itā€™s derp Town or Scum. For example, what Chad is doing in #770 is just wrong. If Josh flips Town (and though I donā€™t think so, the possibility is there), fixing your sight upon DS immediately after might make sense, but itā€™s not something Iā€™m willing to commit to upfront like this (Chess already pointed to this in #768). If Chad is Scum, and his partner is not DS or Josh (and heā€™s voted for both and is being cross-voted by Josh, and has been put at L-1 by DS so entirely possible), this is exactly the position to take that is most likely to lead to victory (reaffirmed in #796 and #826). So Iā€™m extremely cautious about that. Also, trusting Starā€™s ever shifting views to form an opinion on a player (#802) is just not smart in my mind.

#796, #798 - Iā€™ll be honest, I donā€™t like this post but the fixation on detail shows a Town mindset. The reason I donā€™t like the post is because you seem to be broadening the lynch pool here (similar to what Josh is doing in #816, and you do indicate that it could be anyone in #819), but I do give you credit for the focus on analyzing the votes properly. Insisting that I wasnā€™t leading the wagon all the way through is totally valid.

#878 - Joshā€™s entrance to D2 just strikes me as someone who was aware of who was poisoned, and was looking for Town points. DS makes the point here, and I totally agree. Interestingly, Josh has been asking a lot of players about my own entrance (despite calling it Town), possibly in an attempt to deflect away from his own.

#887 - I feel like the calling out of Josh over a lack of reads is also pretty valid. Now Iā€™m thinking about this more holistically right. If DS is Scum here, I feel like heā€™s vastly more likely to get behind a Chad lynch and try to convince others to vote there (since I agree thereā€™s momentum in that direction). No disagreement from me that it would put DS in a tough spot D3, but it wouldnā€™t be much different from say the position Josh would be in if Chad was lynched and flipped Town.

#935 - Iā€™ll just say that itā€™s clear that DS hasnā€™t put that much effort into trying to convince others that heā€™s Town, but is rather more focused on figuring out whatā€™s going on. This is a marked difference from the Partition Game. Of course, this changes a bit given the exchange with Urist around #955, but I have to say that I think the logic from Urist is a flawed.

#942 - I agree. And admittedly, this is partly what gives me pause about Chad.

#944 - just as a correction, I donā€™t think Iā€™ve advocated for a Chad lynch D1 or D2. So I donā€™t know where the ā€œanywayā€ is coming from.

#1018 - I hate the vote. It just seems like Chad is fighting for survival. The counter to that is that you are on Josh, and now I am too, and so he can easily flip back (as heā€™s stated he is willing to do), so he didnā€™t need to move if heā€™s simply trying to squeak by.

@Urist, do you really think Josh is voting Chad purely so that he can watch you shit your pants? Because heā€™s making it seem like heā€™s utterly convinced Chad will flip Scum, and the shitting your pants is just a bonus.

Also, Urist is laser focused on Chad and his last point about the RVS votes directly contradicts something Chad has said in this thread. Ugh why?
