Marked for Death (1,1) - OVER

k, who?

I posted my reasoning clearly in #301. The reason it stayed there is twofold: (i) I thought StarV was the scummiest poster on the day up to when I voted, and (ii) I didn’t have time to get back in here, catch up and change my mind. Now, I already said that I don’t know that I would have switched my vote. If anything, all of the pressure at the end made Star look even worse. And he kept inviting the hammer which I find really annoying.

i also didn’t sleep well, but i worked from home today so i was able to get a nap in this afternoon. i just finished watching season 18 of survivor, so now i actually have time for this game woo
lemme know how mm goes

I agree with this to some extent. I mean, I think the person worst “positioned” is probably Josh with the final L-1 vote. But moving in and out of a Town wagon when the momentum seemed to be dying down isn’t like a positive signal in my mind.

Wait, is anybody here seriously considering relying on StarV’s reads for a vote? #806 from DS easily demonstrate how truly all over the place Star was. You can literally pick and choose any post from Star to support your view for any one lynch here, with the exception of the practically confirmed Town in TN. Like what?

I know for a fact that at least one scum was on the wagon, but I don’t see how it makes sense to specifically look on the wagon for scum. The only people off the wagon were myself and Chad. Saying “let’s start by looking at people on the wagon” really does not help me even a little.

So you’re ruling out the possibility of there being two Scum on the wagon? So shouldn’t you be supportive of lynching outside of the wagon first?

do i actually have to put in work here or can we just agree that chad is most likely scum?

I’m not surprised by the poisoning only because I felt most people put down a Town Read for TN, who barely attracted a throwaway vote by Josh (which happened before TN had even posted).

I don’t know if Josh should or even would act differently as either alignment - the history is not there. I’m just posing the question - is it better as Scum to come out strong at the beginning of the day for the player that was poisoned? And I’m talking mostly about #707.

Well you know this. I don’t. I’m just TR you, TN is almost certainly Town, and though I don’t have a strong positive lean on Chad, I’m not SR him because he could have cut the day shorter and lynched Town but didn’t. And if you really believe that Scum can get away with that (as you said), then how can you make this argument?

This is a ranked game. Put in the work.

I said that scum can get away with it, but that doesn’t mean scum will always do it every game. It’s still seen as a risky play, and Chad may have thought that since he was already under scrutiny, that it wasn’t worth the risk to vote for Star.

Hey Chad, where do you usually play forum mafia? I’m coming to the realization that my read might be due to a style difference and I want to check out your past games.

:frowning:

wow I know this is an easy post to make and shouldn’t be AI

but I LIKE IT BY GOD

Actually it’s more that Chad’s slowroll on the Star wagon despite him calling Star scum and saying that he preferred the lynch for the entire day looks scummy as fuck and I want to make sure it isn’t a sitemeta thing.

Chad calling Josh scum for half the day and not voting for him either really really looks like Chad didn’t want to start a competing wagon, especially since it was evident that myself and Star would have jumped onto Josh as well. I hesitate to call it distancing without flips, but that’s what it looks like.

actually why don’t i just ask
@ChadMD why didn’t you vote for StarV or Josh yesterday?

This exchange contains Josh’s first two posts.
