His case is “scum shaded these people, this other one might not happen if they’re both scum, and I’m not scum so POE on these two”.
I can grant the first one. The second one, maybe–I don’t know the players well enough to analyze that. Third one, no shit Sherlock, we’re ALL going to claim Town. I can grant the fourth option (shot analysis) as well. Scum might be desperate enough to shoot scum at this point in the game–but it’s a pretty crazy gambit, it’s not a guaranteed townclear. Even squirrel, the king of desperate gambits, isn’t THAT crazy.
One other thing: Scum shading other scum can and does happen–trying to create distance and all that. So that first item on the list? Not exactly 100% foolproof. (Shading Chess, OK, that does lend it a LOT of strength. I think we’ve established that Chess is town, 90%+ probability and the rest is the aforementioned desperate gambit. The other two aren’t as solid as Chess.)
The thing is, this setup punishes shading other people, since the duel mechanic gives town an extra elim each day.
For instance:
If thunal and GKB were both scum, it would be extremely bold for GKB to take the shot here, since if GKB shot scum (say, ejji, for argumemt’s sake) weend up with one scum dead. If GKB instead shot town we end up GKB dead and 1 townie hard cleared.
Like scum might be that bold but it’s very risky to advocate for something that could kill off a third of the scumteam.

She had every right to insist the shots should be taken by the PoE into the PoE and didn’t
Plus we just have PoE slots pop her and chess to be sure
