Looking at the first night kill, without any context of what else was happening in the thread at the time it strikes me odd that every scumread they had was acfually town.
Then arete claims cop sometime D2 I assume, as they claim they have a red check on D3. Pretty obvious that scum doesn’t have lookout/doctor/jail keeper and they were using the cop claim as a way to get pass protectives.
Not only that…the protective role is a trash role for scum, besides taking it out of the hands of town.

You know, usually when you think of a Governor role your first thought is “scum could use that to stall for a day”, not “scum can use that to put suspicion on someone”, which is exactly what scum appeared to have did in this scenario. Going to keep reading through because these type of reads are usually hit or miss
but imo I would rather put it all out there so the mafia can’t use that because it’s in the minds of myself and the other town

Separate from that, the reason I responded with “lol” is you missed the point of my comment. I didn’t say that you shouldn’t have said that, while I myself wouldn’t have said it as a possibility until a pardon happens, there’s no problem with stating that out loud. My concern, however, is with the potential aspect of TMI. We know that the pardoner has to be scum because no one has claimed to pardon the guy. That assumption implies that the reason scum pardoned a town was because they wanted to stall for an extra night kill, stop discussions for a day, and throw even more suspicion onto the guy. Now that we have established that this is likely what happened, we could even go further.
We know scum have conversations with each other. We know that scum likely coordinated who got what role, what numbers they want to pick, and what roles are good for mafia. Now that I have established these, here’s basically my thoughts on your post, and ultimately, why I don’t weigh this ‘argument’ post too heavily. There’s a chance that scum talked about the potential uses for pardoner pre game. One of the niche uses that is not immediately obvious is the potential to throw suspicion on a townie by preventing their yeet from occurring. Delaying it may seem useless, but actually it’s really helpful from scum standpoint because it throws town off an extra day while denying them information, and giving the scum an extra night to kill.
Basically, my first thought when reading that post was, “This is oddly similar to what has happened in the game so far. It’s also not a use that seems obvious for people who haven’t played with this role before…could it be that she’s mafia and heard the potential uses pre-game?”
The problem with this is that I assume a lot of things that I have no way of confirming. There’s also the possibility that this use was discussed previously in the thread that you saw. That’s why I don’t weigh it too heavily.

I think your motivation for posting that is fake though and is an attempt to seem townie. Your original post doesn’t seem to be written in a way to actually warn townies, seems more of a way to talk about how it could be potentially useful for both sides “depending on how it went”.
