Lucifer Morningstar

You are a consultant for the LAPD. A mighty fine one with that. Your main concern is generally what this case has to do with you, there is usually a link to be found, so finding the killer is of utmost priority in order for you to gain this understanding. You are the devil though, so you do have quite a few abilities that can prove useful…

Alignment: 3rd Party
Role: 3rd Party LAPD Consultant
Win Condition: After N1, you win at anytime when all killers have been punished

Abilities & Restrictions:

Celestial Being :
You are a celestial being, and it would be far too much enlightenment for you to claim the extent of your powers, so you may not directly claim any abilities listed here.

Honesty :
You may not lie in the game thread.

Punish the guilty :
You may not vote on any player unless they have killed another player. An incorrect vote at end of day will result in your own death.

One-Way Lover :
If the Detective dies, so do you.

On the scene :
If you are tracked by another role, that player will see you visiting the current night’s victim.

Deal with the Devil :
You cannot be killed at night. If another role put KP on you, you will simply be put into a neighborhood with that person for the duration of the night where they can make a deal with the Devil. Lynching, causing a lynch or casting suspicion on a player who has made a deal with you will cause you to become vulnerable at night and this ability will be revoked.

When making a deal with another player, you must give them what they desire as a favor (from a list of available items), in exchange, they will have an “I owe you” or a blank check so to speak (from a list of available items). The player will not know what the return favor is until it is used on them.

Detective

You are the LAPD’s finest Detective.

Alignment: Town
Role: Detective
Win Condition: You win when all members of the mafia have been arrested or killed.

Ability: At night, you may investigate one other player in relation to one victim (specified by you), if that player visited the victim on the night that they were killed, you will receive a positive result.

Jakethewolfie

Forensics Specialist

You work in forensics at the precinct. Your job is to analyze crime scenes and data to retrieve evidence.

Alignment: Town
Role: Forensics Specialist
Win Condition: You win when all members of the mafia have been arrested or killed.

Ability: During the night, you may analyze one of the victims and gather one piece of evidence that will narrow down the search for the guilty party.

Urist

Crooked Cop

You are a cop gone bad, you are out for your own interests. Stealing and cheating the system is your way of accomplishing that. You may need some help, so you have made some connections which will allow you to find members of the mafia to assist you with your nefarious needs.

Alignment: Mafia
Role: Lone Wolf
Win Condition: You win when all members of the town have been eliminated, or nothing can prevent that from happening.

Abilities:

Crooked Cop:
You discover which player the Detective is visiting at night.

Loyal Neighborizer:
You have connections with the mob who will allow you to identify players of the mafia and create PTs with them if you target them.

MetalSonic

Preacher

You preach that evil has taken root in society and that it must be purged. By night, you take the law into your own hands. Your purpose on this earth is to rid the world of all its demons.

Alignment: 3rd Party
Role: 3rd Party 1-Shot Vigilante
Win Condition: You win when all members of the mafia and players who have connections with the mafia have been eliminated.

Ability: Once during the game at night, you may kill another player in the game.

Please note, as opposed to most StarV games, in this game, try not reference mod communication in any way during your posting. Note that the setup is protected against this in many ways, but I don’t want anyone looking for loopholes.

An ordinary day starts and you’re all sitting in the in the briefing room of LA’s 69th precinct, waiting for instructions. Why are the vanillas here? Well, that’s a good question, we had to put all hands on deck for this one folks.

The Sargent walks in hastily

Sargent: “Listen up officers, we have a killer on the loose. And worse, these guys are cop killers, the true underbelly of LA has reared it’s ugly head at us once again. Our Lieutenant, Mr. Tommy Shingles (NPC) has died. He was found dead in the Long Island Sound, shot to the head before being drown with cinder blocks tied to his legs.”

“I know that this news is disturbing, and deeply personal for all of you. Now, the LT died of his gunshot wound, the NYC forensics team puts the time of death to before he left LA. That means the gunshot wound happened right here in LA.”

“One of us did this. Now let’s get to work and catch these cold blooded killers. As for the LT, sources say it may be weeks before we get a new commanding officer. Tommy was well liked around the precinct…”

I have mod-confirmed information that some players “interact” with the mafia. I take this to mean that some people have neighbors with mafia. So I would like all neighbors to check their privilege neighborhoods
