My personal opinions towards fake cop checks are that they should be judged solely based on their results. Faking a red on town is just shameful and ruins a player’s credibility; not just because of the fact that they “cried wolf” and told a “lie”, but because “bruh, you had one job”.

Fake cop reds can be extremely effective in lynching power wolves. But the precondition is catching a powerwolf in the first place. Unfortunately, the sad reality is that the allure of such “glory” entices many amateurs to try their hand in what might be more appropriately classified as a hunting sport for professionals.
