This is true - out of all the players to push hard here, Jake is probably not the player that I think Elli Scum would use his reputation to get rid of. I don’t want to comment about his flip on other games, as they are still ongoing I think (I’m playing too many games right now and they are blending together), but Elli making casual reference to that also bothered me a little (#249).

Feeling positive about Andres. Seth said Andres/DS could be the scum on his wagon. Though Seth might be town? Good response to pressure so far, and not just fluffing. Will see.
How does Elli play? Looks like they’re voting Jake.
The way Elli used to play was - tank as Scum, and be extremely accurate as Town. The latter part hasn’t changed all that much (he is quite good at spotting Scum, so once he votes people tend to follow), but as Scum, he’s trying different things. He’s still very hesitant though - because he knows that if he pushes someone with some degree of confidence and they flip Town, that he’ll be immediately targeted.
So what I’ve seen him do is withhold information for as long as possible for example, or make it seem like the setup is the problem, and in a few rare instances, go out all guns blazing.
It all depends on who is playing and how large the game is. I naturally think there’s an incentive to try and last long and not attract much suspicion in larger games, but that’s my view.
So burden of proficiency can be used against him, I see. Hmm…

I see where you’re coming from with this, but I don’t know that this makes sense given where we are in the day. And Elli did express a point of view with some confidence, so we can wait and see how that plays out to some extent.
Rachel, I think you’re Town (and from limited experience, quite accurate). What do you make of Chess here?
