Also, I have a feeling that this game will play out quite similar to the failed iteration of Ranked - and the incentives are all built into the game.

Eh this is a very polarized choice. I think Nanook is probably more likely after thinking about it, but anyway, hereâs a bit the logic.
The Sorting Hat is recruiting players to be on their side, since Slytherin and the Sorting Hat win together. So, who would you pick to let you stay in the game for as long as possible, while pushing the Team forward? The choice with Elli is complicated because Elli is typically sheeped aggressively, so if Elli picks wrong, he will be under a mountain of suspicion. But at the same time, if he picks wrong, and people follow him, the Sorting Hat can simply remove him from the Team at that time. This puts Elli in a terrible spot. However, I do think itâs likely that at least to start, Elli was put in Slytherin.
The other choice is probably the player you think will simply survive the longest without being suspected. That could be Nanook, or Urist.

I would also note that we tend to be cautious about voting for Elli precisely because he is good at catching the Scum. So if Iâm the Sorting Hat, you probably take the gamble that people wonât try to TK him D1.

I would actually wager that Ellibereth has been voted out or at least heavily pressured d1 a bit more than average recently. My impression might be skewed though.

Possibly. But you might also just pick who from your perspective is the least harmful choice. At the end of the day, itâs obvious that starting D2, the player that was Confirmed Town D1 is no longer so.
